Barbarella Restaurant & Bar

The food was very average. I ordered a classic breakfast and the sausage was burnt, the eggs lacked salt and overall experience was very mediocre. Highly unlikely I will return for the food or the service

I've seen Instagram posts of Barbarella so I was eager to try. We were seated outside under umbrellas which was nice since it was a nice day. I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and a glass of Chardonnay and had coffee mid -breakfast. It was a pleasant experience.

It was the most wonderful restaurant! The menu is very diversified and had some vegan dishes. The ambience was lovely! Right in La Jolla shores. My family will definitely be back!

You guys made my friend's birthday celebration. Incredible. Thank you so much. We celebrated the birthdays of the Surf Diva ladies and it was so fun!

Not impressed! The service was super bad. Long waits for service, drinks and food. Food not impressed, it was simply ok. Our server was super charming and sweet but super slow in getting to us. We literally had to ask for someone to clean our table from dishes and drink glasses sitting around. I don't think we'll be back.

There were a few delays in getting service, but the server was really nice. Food was good, but pricey.

Been here multiple times and never disappointed! The quality of the food and drinks is top notch, as well as the decor during certain holidays or seasons.

Dined here on a Friday evening. Nice atmosphere and tasty Italian selections. Surprisingly, no bread or Parmesan was offered and wait staff was unreachable once dinner plates were delivered. A bit pricey; e.g. Salmon Caesar salad $30; mushroom risotto $29.

Service was extremely slow and staff was rude from the get to. Food was overpriced and tasted like cardboard from the freezer section. Don't bother wasting your money here. I would rather eat McDonald's. Dave yourself the trouble and go ANYWHERE else.

Very creative food, kind and engaging staff, unique evocative decorations, and a great place to eat and drink in celebration with long talks with friends. Wonderful! Delicioius and a delight.

Sophia and Art were our waiters tonight. The ambiance and atmosphere was 100% on theme for Halloween. Every room was decorated with spider webs, jump scares with characters, including the bathroom! Would recommend to all of my friends . I'm actually coming back in 2 weeks. The food itself was amazing. Would recommend the Brussel sprouts, Margherita pizza, fettuccine bolognese, and the lamb medallions

Was here on Thursday and had a good meal so i came back on Monday but had a feel bad experience. The bartender told me he over-served some who just left, when i asked to watch the NFL game they illegally streamed it (but it kept buffering), the plate i ordered for $40+ was way over cooked, the veggies were burnt the fish was brown crisped on the edges. the bartender didn't care, i asked him to check with his boss who couldn't be bothered to talk with me. I don't trust Barbarella to do right.

The food was subpar. Went with a large group, and personally had the lobster over pasta, the calamari, the mango sorbet, and the mussels. The mussels tasted great, as well as the calamari and mango sorbet. The lobster and pasta however, which were easily the most expensive, was not good in any way. The lobster was dry and rubbery, the pasta was flavorless and overcooked. Everything else was good, so I'm not too sure what happened there.

Parking: Most likely will have to park at an open space along the street of a neighborhood.
