It was peaceful and chill. Had really good vibes. We went for brunch and it was delicious. It was on a Wednesday morning, so not a lot of people were there. We did the outdoor dining and it was great weather with great ambiance. :)

This place is a fun, beachy, casual, bar & restaurant, with excellent food & service and is only a block or so from the beach. The $4, mimosas were yummy. I will definitely be back here again because the food made an impression!- the chef here makes sure each dish is amazing!

hostess at front was extremely rude almost came off racist. she seated a group of 8 who did not have a reservation before she seated our group of 3 who had a reservation. she very rudely told us it didn't matter if we had a reservation and she would have to look for a table. taking a glance inside only 2 tables were taken and the booths and bar were empty. she finally grabbed some menus and motioned for us to follow her and seated us in a booth. this ruined our experience and we ended up leaving after getting seated. the food looked great but she was so disrespectful did not want to eat here. will be leaving a 1 star review on google and yelp for this.

Great space. Cozy yet lively. I had the meat pies which rival any I had in New Zealand! Happy hour is a great deal. Service and cocktail we wonderful!

We enjoyed our dining experience from start to finish! We were attended to immediately upon being seated, and every staff member we encountered was so friendly! The music was great, and the overall vibe of Bare Back was wonderful. We cannot wait to return. The hard kombucha was good, and I really enjoyed the smash burger and fries.

I have dined her multiple times and the food and drinks have always been spot on delicious! Nothing on the menu can disappoint. That being said, the last time I visited, me and my friends didn't have the best time with the server. I understand he may have been assisting more tables than he would have liked (the place looked a little understaffed at the front for a Friday night), but we saw him checking on other tables much more than ours and for longer periods of time, chatting and laughing it up with them. When we got our food, it was a little more than 20 minutes that he checked in on us again. We actually had to wave him down when he passed by. And his response was simply, "Oh, sorry about that guys. Sort of forgot about you." And that was that. Really didn't give any excuses or try to make up for it. This won't be the last time we go to this place, for sure, but we may think twice if it's the same server.

it‘s a cute place but the food was very mid (i had the steak caesar salad) and the service was pretty bad.
This is a great New Zealand restaurant! The Maui Waui burger I ordered was absolutely perfect. You can really taste the difference between wagyu and regular beef. Fries were nice and crispy too.

We were looking forward to going to Bare Back Grill, my friends old favourite from when she lived here. While the food was tasty, the prices were very expensive. The service also wasn’t great, we were given knives and no forks, halfway through the meal we got the attention of our waiter to bring some forks over. I’m not sure it would be a place I’d recommend based on budget, with all the other options around.

Totally hip little spot, playing 90s hits and serving delicious food. My wife and I got the Maui Wowie and Queenstown Fave (burgers), and the onion dip. The food was all fresh and delicious. The Maui Wowie in particular was great, as were the fresh made potato chips.
We ordered our food to go. As I was walking back to the hotel, about 200 feet from the restaurant, one of the wait staff came running up behind me. They had forgotten to give me the sauces that come with their fries. They could have just let it go, but this server went the extra mile to make sure that my wife and I got everything we ordered. Really cool people. I didn't get her name, but thanks :)
