Super cute donut shop, unique flavors. Guava was amazing. Payaso ok. Mi Rey also delicious. Also has good spicy tamales. Limited seating. Thank you!

I think we came on an off day, because the service was horrible. It was our first time, and the girl working there looked terribly miserable. I felt like interacting with her was like talking to a zombie, and I don't say that lightly. Maybe she was going through something, or maybe she just hates her job idk.Anyways, the donuts were the best I ever had, which is why this review averages out to a 3 instead of a 1. I'd come back to try again, but we were left with a bad impression.

Mouth watering deliciousness! I suggest going early because they do sell out. My favorite is the Strawberry Jamaica donut, but have now tried most of them and every single one is recommended. My husband tried the cold brew horchata today and he said definitely try if you like coffee and horchata.

An update review from last time I went to Barrio Donas . I still feel it can use more filling inside, other than that great flavors, good dough and very cute spot. My review went up one star more from the last visit . Also service can be a bit more bright personality wise on the other side of counter . It matters (:

Lovely people and service. Delicious horchata drink and donut options (also offers vegan donuts which is amazing for whoever prefers!)

I love everything about this place. The flavors, the theme, even the presentation of the donuts. Barrio Donas is so unique, I've never seen any shops have the flavors they offer. These are actually my childhood favorites on a donut, and it's amazing to be taken right back with just a single bite. The location itself is cute. Perfect for a sweet treat after a walk around Old Town. I recommend going earlier in the day. The donuts are, of course, softer when they are fresh out.

Loved their Donas!! Not a lot to choose from, but the 6 we picked were all incredible!! This location is tucked in a small, quaint courtyard in Old Town. Loved the Vibe, We will definitely be visiting again

Such a cute little donut shop in the Old Town urban market. I got the chocolate mazapan donut which has a chocolate peanut butter flavor. The donut texture was different from what I'm used to. It seems like they cook the donuts differently than a traditional fry because it didn't have a crispiness on the outside. Instead it was very soft and inside was really fluffy. It felt lighter than a traditional donut which I liked. I also enjoyed that it has nice flavors without being too sweet.

Delicious donuts! I got a Guava Maria donut and it was perfectly fluffy and guava-y! Also had a fun atmosphere and friendly service.

We were excited about visiting and trying their coffee and donuts. Unfortunately, they fell flat on flavor. The donuts were ok. Not as soft and fresh as donuts should be. Donuts averaged about $3.50 each. The cafe de olla cold brew and the strawberry jamaica were hard to swallow. We threw out the cafe de olla after three sips. We purchased another lemonade drink to sweeten up the strawberry jamaica, it didn't help. We gladly support small businesses so we'd come back and give them another chance in the future because it may have been an off day. Parking wasn't an issue because we got here pretty early. The collection of small shops here is very cute. Plenty of tables outside.

Looking for amazing Mexican donuts? You've come to the right place. Here you will find donuts inspired by classic Mexican desserts and flavors, sold exclusively at this location. They also have an Horchata + cold brew that goes great with their donuts. I also highly recommend visiting their original location in Clairemont as they sell additional donut flavors, several different beverages including coffees, teas, and specialty horchatas, tortas, and tamales.

Fancy donuts w a Mexican twist. Similar to sidecar donuts. Super cute shop and friendly cashier. Went to Old Town store. Didn't know there was one in Clairemont. Would have liked to try to churro donut. 20$ for half dozen. They have a deal for 49$ - one dozen donuts, 6 tamales, and coffee. Great for office.
