We had a great time at The Bella where we celebrated our advisor's retirement. They were very kind to open on Saturday and cater for our party of 25. And that was on a short notice too.
The place is very nice, gave us the privacy we wanted for our event. The staff is also great, starting with Tamara, the events manager. It was a joy to work with her and she made things easy for us.
If I have to make a suggestion, that would be for the food warmers that were not as effective, but that was really minor.
Amazing dinner and ocean view!
I have not been here but I have tried to call for an appointment 4 times. Not once did anyone return my call. I’m wondering if they are so busy that they don’t want customers which is a possibility but even a call back to say “no thank you” would have been the decent thing to do.
They catered a departmental dinner for us. They did an excellent job on all aspects. Would certainly use again.
We had a wonderful experience working with The Bella - Espresso & Cocktail Lounge for our catered event! Tamera was our main point of contact, and she was incredibly responsive, patient, and accommodating through every step — from the initial menu and pricing to multiple changes and a list of dietary restrictions. On the day of the event, everything was delivered right on time by their onsite team, and the food was absolutely delicious — our guests were raving about it! The Bella went above and beyond to help make our event a success. Highly recommend!
We hosted an event for faculty and students. Despite rain and blustery weather the event went off without a hitch. Great food and service! Thank You!
Slightly pricey for the quality. Still a nice place though.
One of my favorite spots in all SD for the chill beach feel and the amazing view. The Croque Madame and French Onion soup is the perfect pairing.

Was excited to try this place out but was a little disappointed that the food just tasted pretty bland.
It's getting more expensive eating out so this place is not worth the hype and cost. The view of the ocean would have been the upside of the visit if it wasn't cloudy.
The roast beef panini was basically a cold sandwich. Not grilled or if it was, it wasn't enough to even melt the cheese. The salad was better tasting but a bit pricey for the portion we got.

The food is pretty good, but pricey for a student getting a snack. The pastries aren't very good and the coffee is very weak tasting so I wouldn't recommend if you like a strong coffee flavor. They are really nice but it can take a while for food and drinks.

I had a tuna sandwich it was nothing but two pieces of bread with a thin layer of tuna in the middle, so thin I could hardly taste the tuna.

Really didn't like this pizza at all. It was cold, cheese wasn't melted at all. I never write reviews but I couldnt be more serious that this pizza was worth $4 not $15+. Really wish I just went to target and got microwave instead. They didn't even give a receipt. Too much sauce, cold cheese, crust is embarassing. Everything about this pizza was extremely bad not to mention overpriced.

Good place to be near campus but away at the same time. Outdoor seating is a great mix of couches and table seating. Wine beer and pasta all great. You can see the gliders floating over the cliffs too.
