We had dinner at Bencotto Italian Kitchen in Little Italy, and I’d definitely recommend making a reservation — it gets busy fast. Even with our 5:30 reservation, the restaurant was already filling up, with only a few outdoor tables left.

Great Italian restaurant. Pasta is made in house so it was fresh and the food came out very quick. Service was perfect. Drinks were wonderful. The cannoli dessert was the only thing that was good but not the greatest. The wild berries sorbet and Tiramisu made up for it. Highly recommend this restaurant.

In my limited kknowledge , the San Diego food scene seems highly competitive. In Little Italy alone, it was so hard to choose which Italian restaurant to pick! Glad we ended up at Bencotto where our server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Our food was timely and we had a great time in a cozy setting. We love classic dishes and so does Bencotto IK!
