We love the roast beef here. It’s tender, thin sliced, rare, and just wonderful. I ordered online Sunday…4 super beef sandwiches and 1 French dip sandwich (with extra au jus) and it was a little over $100.
They’re simple sandwiches- 3 main ingredients- bread, beef, and cheese.( Bbq served on the side.) and usually done just right. This day…all 4 super beef sandwiches buns were completely burnt …which did leave an off putting flavor on an otherwise delicious sandwich. That’s the only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars. Definitely worth a try.

There is no way to get a good photo of this sandwich and I think that's how a good sandwich should be. It's large and it's messy. I got it with the gangbang add so it was even larger and even messier but also even more delicious. We also got the Italian which was great. It's just a little hole in the wall so don't expect any kind of ambience or anything like that you're literally just coming here to get sandwiches and onion rings. So for being just a hole in the wall that serves sandwiches they're doing an excellent job and I would definitely come back.

I'm guessing there are others who would drive 45min for a good roast beef sandwich. I'm certainly one of them. Luckily this incredible shop was around the corner from my Airbnb. Just like San Diego the city, I shall return!!!🙌

Im from Boston and the North Shore area has a strangle hold on the 'Big Beef' game (roast beef sandwiches). This was every bit as good as the best ones out there. I guess the owner is from that area, so it make sense. Definitely gotta check it out

The roast beef is melt your mouth delicious. I can't wait to be back to try the other offerings. Be forewarned that this is a messy sandwich and that's not always a bad thing!

Want the best sandwich in PB? Look no further. Big Jim puts his heart and soul into each sandwich . Known for their North Shore Boston Roast Beef which does NOT disappoint. Must try when in town.

I ordered the Philly cheese steak and well, it was just ok. To be honest I wouldn't buy it again. I will give their roast beef a chance though next time I'm in the area.

Yes yes yes. I am not a food guy. Food is food to me. Today my wife and I stopped in to Big Jim’s. We got our food to go. This is hands down the best sandwich I have ever had. The onion rings are also the best. The staff is super pleasant. I own my own business so the way a customer is treated is important to me. This company knows how to treat their customers as well. Highly recommend. Big serving Excellent Quality.

Recommended by a foodie, Big Jim’s served up a delicious, large roast beef sandwich. Their roast beef was so tender and such a match with their bbq (not too sweet) and horseradish (slight heat) sauces. The roast beef was sliced in a thick, compressed stack - when taking bites out of the sandwich, the texture kept reminding me of a soft filet. The onion bun was soft and rounded out the sandwich.

The half order of onion rings was HUGE.

I’m no North Shore Beef expert by any stretch. But, what I do know is what a good Beef should taste like!

The Super Beef, The 3 Way is what your sex dreams are made of! What is a Super Beef? Pink Roast Beef on an toasted Onion Roll, White American on the BOTTOM, Mayo and enough James River BBQ sauce to drown a horse ;)

The Pop Ups have been a blessing because a round trip ticket to Mass is way more expensive than going to see Big Jim!
