Once we got past the massive menu, we were all very happy with our choices. I shared a burger with my father, and they brought it to us already split! That was a nice touch instead of just getting an extra plate and doing it ourselves. My daughter is vegan and they were very accommodating to make the Power Bowl non-diary for her. It was my birthday and my S'mores Pazookie was delicious! Overall, we enjoyed our meals.

Loved the menu options. Discovered the $13 pizooki deal menu and found lots of options with a mini pistols included!

Kind of a hit or miss regarding the food and wait times. It will take FOREVER if you go at peak dinner time. And the food isn’t always the best.

The individual pizzas we got were too heavy on the sauce and the sirloin steak was really dry and unflavorful—frankly overpriced and not worth it.

When we ordered our pizookies, it literally took 20-30 min for all of them to come out. Idk why it took that long but be ready to wait.

One of our party paid cash and the waiter almost forgot to give change.

Not the best experience, but not the worst either…

Taylar and Kat are the most caring and patient people ever, so much so they deserve raises!

While waiting for our table that we could clearly see was ready I approached the two hostesses who standing there cit chatting and ask if we could be seated the wait oh, oh sorry, and got us seated. However, we made a reservation since we had a large party (12), and were told we would be seated outside and assured there would be heaters. Half the fire in the fireplace at the table did not work 🥴. Our waitress was fantastic and should be given kudos.

Came here per my sister’s request who was curious about the viral pizookie desert. I was not very familiar with the restaurant, so didn’t know what to expect foodwise. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and thought it was delicious. It was great as it had a crunchy exterior with very soft chicken that was not dry in the middle. Fried chicken can definitely be a hit or miss, especially with how easily it can become dry, this was definitely a hit for me. To top it off, we did per my sister’s request, order the famous pizookie. Safe to say it was everything but a disappointment. Not many ways to describe it other than delicious. We ordered a smaller pizookie with chocolate cookie that was topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and my favorite- candied nuts. It was the perfect combination of warmth from the cookie blended with the cold-shock of the ice cream. If you were debating whether or not to give BJ’s Restaurant a chance, I would strongly suggest you do!

I made a reservation for 7:15pm and didn't get seated until 7:50pm when we checked in on time. The hostess said they had to seat a couple big parties first which I spoke to them and they were walk-ins without reservation. And with other walk ins the hostess told them it would take 25-35 mins which is exactly how long it took us - what is the point of a reservation then? On a positive note, our server Brian was fabulous.

Food was on point, but clients seated after us had their food 10 minutes before us, they tried to make it up with a free dessert and appetizers but still dropped the ball on getting us the dessert to go and we sat around for a other 15 minutes before the server realized and we declined the to go dessert and left never to return.

BJ’s in La Jolla offers a dining experience that's hard to beat. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and lively—perfect for a casual meal or a night out with friends and family. Their dishes are consistently delicious, with a menu variety that caters to all cravings, from hearty meals to lighter fare. You can always count on flavors that deliver quality with every bite.

The service adds to the charm here; the staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to ensure your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. A highlight is their rewards program—it's a great perk for regular visitors, making you feel appreciated while offering great savings.

It's worth noting that wait times can stretch a bit on busy weekends, so planning ahead or coming during off-peak hours is recommended. Overall, BJ’s is a reliable go-to for good food, a welcoming environment, and great service in La Jolla.

Based on my experience here management isn’t professional.

It's a good value for the price. I was very happy there were a lot of TV screens playing the basketball game.

I received a text to confirm the time and date. I called back and was asked if we would like outdoor accommodations. I said no because it would be cold outside at 9:30pm and we have 4 senior citizens that were cold. We checked in and were seated OUTSIDE and it was FREEZING COLD. We asked for another table inside and they said it would be another 40 minute wait. Very disappointed. Nonetheless, good service and good food

Good value for the money. Service was a bit slow. The restaurant was completely full and vibrant. A bit too much noise.
