The best part was the free bonbons at the end… was really expecting higher quality and flavor for the price. We are very particular about where we go out to eat and this was only average.

Fantastic experience at Black Radish! I’d been looking forward to trying it out, and it didn’t disappoint. Intimate setting, a fantastic four-course meal, and great service.

An amazing find and shocked I haven’t heard more about this place. We did the 4 course pre fix and chose a variety of items but they even brought a few extra bites in between. The special oysters were amazing I hope they get on the menu full time in summer.

Honestly the duck was just crazy thank you.

It’s not every day you stumble upon a restaurant where every element feels effortlessly perfect, but Black Radish is exactly that kind of place. The food? Out of this world—every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavour and crafted with care. You’ll be thinking about it long after your plate is cleared.

The service? Charming, authentic, and endlessly kind. It’s rare to feel so genuinely welcomed, but the staff here set a new standard for hospitality—accommodating every need without missing a beat.

Honestly, this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. If you’re debating whether to visit, stop thinking and just go. Black Radish is more than a meal; it’s an experience you’ll savour long after the last bite.

Warm and inviting ambiance. Impeccable service. Each dish prepared with such care and thoughtful attention to texture and taste! Locally sourced ingredients are the solid foundation for this chef’s culinary talents. The oysters and sirloin were both award-winning!

Had dinner here to celebrate my birthday and it’s now one of our favorite restaurants in San Diego. Food was delicious and the price for the prix fixe menu was super reasonable. All the staff are lovely. Bartender was excellent — we ordered mocktails off-menu, just let him know what flavors we liked, and everything he made was so good. We will definitely be back.

I have been lucky enough to dine at Black Radish multiple times over the past few years since they opened. Kelly is always our kind and knowledgeable server. There is pure passion put into their seasonal menus. The handmade Vadouvan spiced ravioli was my favorite this fall. The seafood is always cooked to perfection and they source high quality ingredients only. My husband is always delighted by the beef course.
Please go for a special occasion.
They have a sommelier wine pairing to go with the prefixe menu. Or a mocktail if so inclined.

Worth a visit. The food is outstanding, with the pates oeuf stealing the show (my favorite). Creamy, smooth texture and the FLAVORS make it unforgettable. The striploin was perfection. The onion soup was warm, rich, (and bold). And for dessert, the pavlova hit all the right notes - crisp meringue paired with fresh fruit for a sweet but not-heavy finish. Chef Itze and her excellent staff created a welcoming space - intimate without being overly formal. Exceptional experience and service. 🤌

Elevated cuisine and small plates in a earthy yet chic environment. Small plates can be ordered prix fie, one from each course, or a la carte. Cocktails were all enjoyable and a large selection of wines as well. For me, the highlights were the appetizer cheese plate, the pork belly, the duck breast, and the onion soup. My parents also enjoyed the seabass and the mushroom polenta. Desserts were OK but I wish I'd gotten the pavlova over the bread pudding. Parking somewhat limited on the street and residential neighborhood.

Food was delicious and portions were perfect. The cocktails were delicious, clear and bright - different (better) than you'll get almost anywhere else in SD. The service was fantastic, they really made an important night special. If you've heard of this place, it definitely lives up to it's reputation.
