While not the worst sandwich I’ve had, it not the best either. The food felt really cold and dry, but the bacon made it a little better. Besides that, it wasn’t anything crazy, it’s just a sandwich shop.

While my fiancé and his friends love this place and visit often, I must say I'm never truly impressed with the food...in fact, I frequently decline when offered. The sandwiches I've had were/are always slathered in mayo -- one time so much so, that I got a glob I didn't see in a bite, and ended up spitting it out. So, beware - ask for light mayo and you'll likely get a regular amount. Bonus points though for beers, and friendly staff.

Ordered and lady seemed confused and didn't give me a receipt. I asked her if there was an order number or if she would call my name when my food was ready or what? She liked the name idea and it seemed to go okay. Then I got home and the potato salad was bland and tasted off. I think they missed adding a key ingredient or two. Had to throw it away. The sandwich was okay, but if I'm investing this much in a sandwichy dinner, I'd rather go to jersey mike's. This place seems to be going downhill foodwise. I loved so much that I could get a nice side of classic potato salad here and wasn't stuck with french fries. I don't want to go back and pay them again to find out that they've gotten even worse now. It's sad, like watching someone you like slowly fading away because of drug abuse or something. I'll just learn how to make potato salad myself and do my sandwiching at home. If you just want to go there and drink beer and watch a game, it might be okay. I wouldn't go there hungry.

I came here last night for the first time in a long time. I was instantly greeted by the cashier, Tyler A (I hope that's his name, it was written on the receipt lol.) He was so friendly, kind and helpful! He even went out of his way to hand me the bag when it was all ready! Great customer service! I ordered the Baja Beef, spicy Roast Beef and 2 quesadillas. The baja and roast beef were supposed to be "spicy" but they really weren't. However, my family and I still enjoyed them! Their signature sauce is SO GOOD too! I will definitely be back!

Excellent sandwiches! Ordered the left coast pastrami with extra sauce. Service is fast and gives good recommendations. Indoor and outdoor sitting available. Will def come back again for lunch.

Update review from a year ago! I am changing my review from a 5 stars to a 3 because they are terrible at packing to go order. It's so frustrating to have to rip open the bag each time to ensure it's right( 9 out of 10 times it's wrong). There is always something missing or the wrong dressing. To be fair my order is more detailed than others but if the cooks can get my order correct EVERY TIME Why can't packers do their job? And to follow up from my last review. I've asked many times to purchase extra Italian salad dressing with no luck. I was told "I'm sorry but our manager isn't here for us to sell it to you." The only reason we continue to order from this location is because we really like their menu and food and this is the only location in SR. Attention Yelp! I've tried to uncheck the Service above with no luck.

Been here over twenty times, this location always has fresh tasting beer (they must know how to properly clean taps), super friendly service, and never wait more than 5-8 minutes even if it’s busy! They always assemble their sandwiches with care - I’ve never had a sloppy sandwich from here.Chips are yummy but have you tried their potato salad?????! It’s an often overlooked item that you should definitely get next time you order from here. My mom is vegetarian and LOVES this potato salad - perfectly cooked potatoes, more of a mustard-base, and fair portion size.I love that they offer discounted beer for happy hour (starts at 3 during the week), one beer and a sandwich aka dinner for less than $20 is lovely. It’s hard to find a sandwich shop now that is affordable with quality ingredients. Board and Brew has and continues to be a San Diego staple for any sandwich you could imagine and ESPECIALLY their veggie sandwich. Sunflower seeds add such a nice crunch and flavor. Genius!!!I come here often and I’m always greeted promptly, helped with any questions, and even get great beer recommendations from the staff. I love this location in particular but all of you guys rock! 4S/Del Sur is nice but I find gets too busy.Parking lot isn’t great (tinyyyy spots, cramped, hard to get out of this lot) but if you go at an off hour you should be okay.
