Worst matcha, doesn’t have taste. It just taste water and bitter powder. We ordered in uber but at least put something to stick in the top of cup just to make sure it won’t spill all over the plastic.

We had a very high quality smoothie

Taro Boba tasted a bit too powdery and sweet. The space itself is lovely and so is the staff.

Cute little tea and coffee spot that does boba, lattes, and a big assortment of other drinks. Open late, inviting, clean, and good service. I ordered a basic milk tea and it was great.

Not even giving this place 1 star , I give it a 0 . Walked in to buy an acai bowl , and cashier was rude after wanting to buy a cookie. once I get to my car to eat some of my acai bowl there’s a hair in there. DISGUSTING NEVER GOING BACK

Got a regular iced latte and it was great. Would recommend for coffee and nice indoor/outdoor seating

Bon Cha, how I love you so.
Open late to any night owl or Gaslamp worker to enjoy a treat after a long shift.

Our cashier was kind and was very adorable, we appreciated her service. I got to indulge in a lavender matcha, it was amazingly made. My coworkers got different boba drinks and my partner got a chai latte which we all were satisfied with. I also enjoyed the environment, it had a sort of rustic coffee shop aesthetic to it.

I feel some reviews were harshly made and formulated with lack of understanding. We appreciate you Bon Cha, you’re doing great!

Additional comments:

Please be aware this is in downtown San Diego, parking will always be a hassle anywhere you go.

Regarding unhoused individuals, it is not the establishments fault when people in need come in or are around, it happens to/at every establishment in downtown
We personally did not have a problem with this and our visit was quite pleasant.

My order: taro milk with normal Boba and no sweetener.
Positives: Taste was great, tons of Boba
Negatives: mostly nit picks but the majority of Boba was stuck together in 4-5 Boba clumps and one 12+ one. Had to pry/stab the clump apart with the straw. They left the door open which allowed flies to be buzzing around.

Acai bowl was stacked with fresh and flavorful fruit, delicious!

It's not Thai tea. The taste is terrible It's like they just added color to make it look like Thai tea.

There are lot of flies flying around in the middle.

I was really disappointed with my visit to The Bon Cha. The bubble tea I tried was awful—tasted like cheap powder and was by far the worst I've ever had. I’d give it 2 stars, definitely not worth a visit.

Drinks tasted fine, somewhat pricey, upkeep subpar, sketchy area.
