9/10. Amazing experience. The bussers did great with clearing and resetting for each course. Foodrunners presented the food perfectly. Jake, our server, was very welcoming and attentive. Communication through Opentable was also great. We made the drive from Los Angeles to try this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. Recommend the dry-aged bone in ribeye, potato puree, and summer fruit salad.
Server seemed nice and introduced herself. We didn't order drinks but the first thing we ordered was table side caesar salad. About 30min later they brought out 2 salads on a plate that were very small. The my father asked what happened to table side the server said they were short staffed and didn't have anyone to do it. She should have told is at the beginning and we wouldn't have ordered it, especially when you are paying table side price. Then another 30 min pass before dinner comes and they Serber never came by to apologize or say anything about the wait. So in 1 hr we got a salad. Then my father's steak was raw and he ordered medium and he could hardly chew it. I did the wagyu experience where you cook at the table and it almost started a small fire and did smoke the room out. We even apologized to the people sitting next to us. We didn't even look at desert since we did want to possible be there till closing time. I was recommended this by a friend but I would never tell anyone about this restaurant. Overall poor in almost all aspects
We celebrated our anniversary at Born and Raised and it was an amazing experience. The staff from hostess, bartender to server were all welcoming and friendly. The venue is an old building that was revived to accommodate this new venue. The hype is real. We will be back every time we visit San Diego. Don't miss the candy paint bathrooms!!!
50 minutes to table service Call the manager and after a weird loom gave a bogus excuse Over priced Trending place but food is regular
Great location. Walking in, you're tended too. Drinks, filthy martinis, the best I've had for awhile. Preparation watching was high quality. Steak(s)... I wet age prime and cook wagyu DIY at home- ate my entire "classic" strip loin. Very, very good. Ribeye (classic, GF's) very nice. House salad was a little bitter, but presentation was amazing. Staff, good to go. Definitely a place to try, and go back to for more fun.
Worth the drive from LA to celebrate our anniversary. The steak perfectly cooked, the Cesar salad was great and of course the drinks well balanced. The service always top notch.
Great service. Daniel was great waiter. The drink menu is not impressive and the food and steak came out luke warm. They did give us a discount recognizing the steak is not warm
What a superb experience. We went there for my Fiancé's birthday and they made the whole thing so special. Starting with a personalised birthday card, and exceptional drinks. The aesthetic of the place lives up to the hype of the food too. We were in awe of the charcuterie tower, and we both got the filet.. which were cooked to perfection. We loved loved loved this place. 10/10
Our waiter was excellent! Very personable and friendly. Food was absolutely great! Charcuterie platter. Oh my goodness! Amazing! Japanese wagu, Amazing! Ambience was memorable. It got a little loud and you couldn't hear the waiter the longer we were there but thankfully we were early enough to hear in the beginning when it mattered. Excellent experience.
Absolutely amazing. The venue, the service, the food, the bar tender, and our server Jake were phenomenal. I will be recommending this place to everyone.

On my birthday I booked outside in advance. They were not able to seat me even after that confirmed they saw my notes. Plus I KNOW FOR A FACT I booked outside WEEKS AHEAD. We had to remind our server to bring water and napkins for two guests AFTER our salads arrived. We had to also remind the server to bring the cake tower since it's my birthday. They DID NOT bring the cake tower and brought two macaroons. I was looking forward to CAKE on my birthday. I flew in from Houston Texas for this restaurant. Spent close to $500 for 4 people and am not satisfied with the utter disrespect, lack or regard for my celebration and NO RESPECT. They acted like they wanted to leave since 9:30PM. They close at midnight. Absolutely NOT SATISFIED. Food was good, that's all thanks for reading. Do better for ALL BIRTHDAYS.
Enjoyed a beautiful evening celebrating my birthday at Born & Raised! From the food, service and the ambiance everything exceeded my expectations and made this evening very special. The entire restaurant was beautiful. The filet was deliciously paired with the king crab legs and the birthday macaroon was a 10/10!
Male restroom was small. Rib eye steak( medium rare) was way too chewy and fatty. Bread was too salty and ordered bread was served last after the main entree. Tomahawk steak was good but not worth the price. It took us way too long to get the food. It took us 40 minutes to get our food and another 30 minutes to just get our check.
Hands down best restaurant I've been to in SD. The ambiance, the food, and the service was 10/10!! I cannot wait to go back — worth every penny!
This place was the worst "nice" restaurant I've been to in a long time. Server was hurried, seat was down under. Drink was barely there. They play the price on the menu game isn't correct ....they add 4% on top of the price at the end. Parking was so-so for us at 6 pm, but leaving ...they were full. I absolutely hated almost every moment.
