Finally, we have an authentic Turkish restaurant in SD! Bosforo is nothing short of spectacular — from the incredible food to the warm service and inviting ambience. Chef Seckin has truly outdone himself, bringing a genuine slice of Türkiye right to San Diego. Shout out to our Italian server who was super friendly and knowledgeable (sorry forgot his name). We absolutely loved Bosforo and will definitely go back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Turkish cuisine.

Cocktails were good, service was fast and friendly, but the food was just not good. Lacking flavor, underwhelming

We really enjoyed our meal. The tomato sourdough salad was a stand out. I ordered the catch of the day (branzino) and it was cooked perfectly. Would go back.

Bosforo is a San Diego gem! Incredible Turkish breakfast spread. For dinner, tender grilled meats, fresh mezes, and the most addictive bread in town. Cozy yet elegant atmosphere and staff who treat you like family. Don’t miss the Turkish coffee—it’s the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.

Expensive for the portions they give you. Don't think it's worth it. Food is ok, but again, not worth it. The staff manager or whoever she was seemed rude to some of her employees, that one of them cried and came back to serve us and you can tell it was bad. The server was phenomenal and very sweet. Please treat your employees better, smh.

Got the Turkish breakfast along with the cheese borek and was honestly very disappointed. Service was good but i ended up finding a hair in my eggs. Had really high hopes for the place but left very unsatisfied.

We went here for the turkish breakfast experience and it was very good, and close to the experience you can get in Turkey. They just did not have the melted cheese and the sausage taste was bit off of the one I had in Turkey. The staff are awesome and overall the place is nice to visit and dine at.

I rarely write reviews cuz few places are worth my time this was an exception. Bosforo has a beautiful ambience. Such a great vibe. Did not feel like I was in America. Waiters were knowledgeable of the food and demonstrated depth and understanding on how to pair food together. Plating was immaculate, textures and flavors were exciting and balanced. We sat next to the kitchen and could see them prepare for service and it was amazing to watch. Will definitely go back to try the rest of their menu. Money well spent.

So Happening! Love the energy from the kitchen out to the open dining…we ate at the bar and enjoyed the Turkish meats, beer and wine. Finished with a Turkish coffee and rice pudding…all delicious 😋

Bosforo Restaurant – A true taste of Türkiye in San Diego 🇹🇷
Absolutely loved our experience here. The flavors took us straight back to Istanbul. We had the Adana, chicken kebab, and a variety of appetizers that were all incredible. The babaganoush with yogurt was creamy and rich, the roasted peppers with nuts and pomegranate were perfectly balanced, and the shrimp in tomato sauce was packed with flavor. Everything was made with care and tradition. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the hospitality feels just like home. Whether you’re Turkish or just love discovering real traditional food, Bosforo is a gem you can’t miss.
Definitely coming back for more. 🥰
