A nice little local spot to go to before or after a Padres Game. The food is remarkably good, especially the grilled steak sandwich (hint: get it with regular bread, instead of the ciabatta). Parking isn't the best, but it's worth the challenge.

Our Bartender was Eli and he was absolutely Phenomenal! So Friendly, so attentive, great personality, super respectful, and has great conversations! My husband and I ordered some house wings, chicken tenders, and a Caesar salad and the food was delicious! We went on a Trivia night and the vibes were great everyone is so alive and even the bartenders join in on the fun. This was our third time here and 2nd time being helped by Eli and both times he was fantastic I have 0 complains! This time around I asked for a mocktail as my drink since I'm pregnant and he did a fantastic job of stirring up the perfect drink for me. My husband is a Hazy guy so he tried a few different ones as they have a wonderful selection of beers. In between drinks the female bartenders was also super attentive making sure that if we needed something we were taken care of. Would 1000% recommend this place!

Stopped by Bottle Rocket after reading all the excellent reviews. It was a Wednesday night which is Wings night (6 wings for $6) so decided to give those a shot. We were welcomed immediately upon entering by the staff and found the service throughout the visit to be prompt and friendly. You have to go to the bar to place your food orders and are given a number to place on your table for delivery. We ordered two of the 6 piece wings as well as a cheeseburger and an order of fries. The wings came out piping hot but a little bit overcooked. The bbq sauce was really good but the mango habanero was more on the sweet side than spicy which was disappointing. The burger looked really appetizing but was a bit average in comparison to similar places we frequent. Fries were crispy and tasty. Bottle Rocket also has an excellent selection of beers available. I would be more apt to visit them in the future for drinks than for their food because the service was super friendly and the vibe of the place was laid back and fun in general.

Chill local spot for Padres and Niner fans. It’s like an intimate cheers. Worth going out of your way from Gaslamp if you’re visiting! The edge of east village is growing and there have always been a ton of gems.
