Overpriced, under flavored & corn syrup galore! All sugar kibble and junk, trade the French toast platter for $30 and it was a joke, the atmosphere is the best thing here, all four of us ordered four different meals and all four were completely upsetting, better off going to cracker barrel, this place must have used the waffle House as their taste standards, they have invested way too much into presentation and overpricing the place and I hate their tipping process, trying to force you into higher tips. Just a weird joke of a restaurant. Nothing special, just your typical overpriced trash in downtown San Diego. They bought their names and paid off the right people in magazines to get the attention they needed to seem like a staple.

Breakfast Republic has creative options and twists on the typical breakfast. I chose the mushroom pesto Benedict. The sauces were incredible and the breakfast potatoes had a delicious flavorful crisp. They were perfectly spiced. The atmosphere is fun and friendly! The views street-side are pretty. The interior is modern and festive. The service was attentive and helpful. Prices were reasonable too.

I ordered the jalapeño sausage and bacon omelet, and it was packed with flavor: spicy, tangy, and downright addictive. The jalapeño sausage had just the right kick, and their homemade hot sauce tied it all together perfectly. My husband went for the breakfast burrito, which came loaded with eggs, cheese, and all the good stuff, plus a side of rice and beans. The burrito was tasty, though the sides could use a little extra seasoning to really make them pop.
The portions were huge (come hungry!), the food came out hot, and the service was swift and friendly: shout-out to Adrianna, who took great care of us and kept the vibe upbeat and fun.

Breakfast was outstanding. I asked for a meat lovers scrambled eggs made into an omelette and they accommodated me no problem. The pancakes were delicious pumpkin cinnamons. I think they were. Hash browns cooked to perfection. Definitely a breakfast place worth visiting
