The scones are the best I’ve ever had- and their shortbread.
My kids are food critics and liked the cookies so there’s that.
But the vibe just isn’t that welcoming and there’s no place to sit usually. It’s more like “give us your order quick” vibes.
I would still go back to pickup scones to go tho
Cranberry have been my fave for over 15 years ♥️

Staff is always super nice, although I had a strange experience last time I came in; the young woman who took my order rushed off before I was able to pay with cash so I had to finish putting through the transaction with Apple Pay and when she handed me my matcha the cup was not full. I asked for some more milk but she was rushing so much she basically threw the milk into the cup causing it to splash out. Normally the food is good and the açaí is great but don’t order the breakfast wrap! On the menu it is listed as having cheddar and I asked for feta as well and they forgot to put any cheese at all. It also kept leaking a ton of water which must have been from the eggs since that’s all that was in it besides avocado and a minimal amount of tomato… definitely not worth the price.

What a great little spot for breakfast/brunch. Had their breakfast wrap, and it was delicious. It had everything that you would want for breakfast in a wrap. A little under seasoned, but there's a self-serve station with condiments, salt and pepper. Outdoor seating by a not-so-busy street. Also had their maple glazed scone, it's the perfect size if you crave a little dessert after your meal, 12/10, really inexpensive as well. Definitely recommend.

I love this place for the food, the service and the great atmosphere. Feels like a taste of Europe sidewalk café.
Delicious food with great value for money! The staff and owner are so friendly and kind as well. I'll definitely be a regular here!

I've had my lunch break 3 times now and each time I go in I feel like no one wants to wait on me. No one ever greets me. Food is good BUT I don't think they wants my business.

Iced spiced chai latte and maple scones were amazing! I’d opt for this cafe over the Parakeet across the street any day

Located at 928 Silverado Street La Jolla this counter service restaurant has coffees, breakfast pastries, sandwiches, and more. We had an iced latte, a couple scones, 2 slices of chocolate chip banana bread, a BLT, and a turkey avocado sandwich. They provide you with a buzzer to know when to pick up your order from the counter. There is seating mostly outside with a couple tables inside. They do have a restroom.

Nice little spot to grab a coffee and pastry. It was busy when I was there just before 8am and there's really very little room inside to stand as you wait for your order. They do have seating outdoors (only). Nice variety on the menu.
Service was pretty slow and my coffee order was wrong because the cashier and I were having a difficult time understanding each other in the small loud space but it taste nice anyway. I had the sunrise sandwich as well which was good with a generous portion of egg, however it could have definitely used some seasoning and maybe mayo. I looked around the cafe and couldn't find any salt and pepper.
Not super accessible if you have mobility issues due to the tight space and stairs but you could perhaps wait outside while someone goes in and orders for you.

Nice small cafe... but almost no view. The trash bins are located right next to the cafe, so it was loud and smelly. The restroom is so outdated... smoothie was delicious, but the wait was long
For a quick bite or coffee. GF options too, outside seating only, acai bowls were good.

I read reviews raving about this place, and they weren’t wrong! My drink was so refreshing (chai latte) and my sandwich was delicious as well. The bread was warm and toasted and the prices are great, especially for La Jolla. There’s only seating outdoors, but it wasn’t crowded when I went. Don’t miss this cafe!
