A wonderful place to dine with friends and loved ones! The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the Brig Clam Chowder.
If I could give less than 1, I would. The food was badly prepared with no flavor. We had the sand dabs, which were dry and without any noticeable flavor. The octopus was rubbery. Not or worst meal, but in the running for second worst.
Berry nice place to visit with friends and family

Try the Fish Tacos! OMG! The Brigantine has been around San Diego for many many years. La Mesa also. They do have a Taco Tuesday Menu so you can save a few bucks on Tuesday. The Brigantine near the airport (Shelter Island) you have to go upstairs and it has very nice bar area with small outdoor area. The food is phenomenal!

Amazing New Year's Eve dinner. Great service excellent food. Excellent ambience. Had a really great time.
Great dinner on NYE. Only complaint is that bar did last call at 9 PM on New Year's. Good food, good service, half priced bottle of wine.
I started with the shrimp cocktail, which was amazing. Lots of shrimp. My husband started with the grilled octopus (he hated octopus when he was a kid, but decided to try it). Still hates it, however, the sauce was good. He had a dinner salad, which he enjoyed. I had the clam chowder, which was barely warm. The bread was not sourdough, which for me was very disappointing. He liked the brown bread. Our dinners were very good. I had the swordfish with avocado butter, risotto, and broccolini. The swordfish was very good, there wasn't enough risotto, and the broccolini was good. My husband had the fish and chips. He really liked it, but the octopus really ruined his experience there. I got the creme brulee to go, and that was very good. From my point of view, it was very good. It had just stopped raining, so we had to eat inside, which is normally what we do, but I think the patio would have been great on a sunny day.
I was very disappointed with my NY steak. No sear on outer surface, no blue cheese truffle taste on crumbs on top, & overcooked. The other 3 people in my party had “just ok” entrees. I will not rush back to their dining room although I do enjoy their happy hour appetizers.

Their clam chowder is always a hit. I really liked the marinated swordfish and my Mom enjoyed the shrimp and grits.
They were very efficient and accommodating for each of our allergies.

I may be biased on the atmosphere because I'm Portuguese and the have a bunch of old pictures of the tuna boat fleet in San Diego.
The service was great. Our server was kind and helpful. He was attentive and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time.
I am being really picky about the food, I think the food taste great, but the Wagyu slider and the Ahi Slider were a bit dry. We also got Surf and Turf Tacos which were good, not great.
Side note, the bartender makes a great Lemon Drop Martini.
