The food was excellent and our server was super sweet, but I absolutely love that the bartender was able to make a delicious mocktail for me based on some ingredients I saw in the regular cocktail menu. So often, this of us who don’t drink alcohol are relegated to soda, lemonade, or water. I don’t want alcohol but I do very much want something fun and delicious to drink - and that I got. By the way, if you’re looking for a delicious mocktail, ask for a spritzer using the passion fruit puree - chefs kiss.

We have been eating fish tacos and oysters at brigantine for years. Never again. , they have forgot about food quality. The fish taco fish was obviously some frozen stale fish thrown into the fryer. Never had the sauce combination before but it was not good. The oysters were gross , brown colored old and the taste was off. Sad to see a good place go down hill but they have.

First time at this location. Our waitress, Misty, was awesome. Very professional, friendly, she made our dining experience awesome..this girl needs a raise. Best customer service ever. I'm a retired bartender, server, of 30 yrs. ...she should be a manager.. thanks so much.

I took my team of eight to this after a big convention in town. The food was pretty good – not great. Service was good but overall the place was pretty average.I think they should update the restaurant and the menu. It has good steady, Eddie, food, but nothing with a flare.

Amazing waiter she was perfect!! Super quick and friendly. I didn't like the person who brought us water she had curly hair and it was up in a clip. she came up to my husband and literally put herself on the table as well as the water cups and didn't give me eye contact at all it was so disgusting and disrespectful it was my birthday dinner throughout the night she continued to just walk by and then turn around then walk by again I am so grossed out he wanted to leave all together.

The Brigantine in Point Loma is popular with the local Portuguese fishing families who live in the area. It is located right at the beginning of shelter Island on the right. The dining room itself is upstairs. If you need to use the elevator, you have to go towards the back---it is a bit difficult to locate. Although the Brigantine is part of a local restaurant group, I think the food might be slightly better at the La Mesa branch. The bar in Point Loma is very spacious, so it seems there is always somewhere to sit, unlike La Mesa, which crowds up by 4:30 pm each day. In addition,, the servers in Point Loma are not as pleasant of efficient than those in La Mesa---not sure why. Even if I sit in the bar, I will to order off the dinner menu, which is more extensive .The dinner menu comes out at 4:30 pm. I recommend any of the fish dishes or the prime rib.

We enjoyed the “dark booth” but it took a long time to place our order. Once we finally ordered our Oysters Rock were barely warm. The halibut special looked great but was over done and tough. Two orders of Macadamia crusted mahi were just ok, with lukewarm and over cooked veggies. The fish and chips was the best order. We never saw our waitress again until she finally dropped off the check at least 10 minutes after our plates were removed. Not impressed for a $200 table. Probably won't go back again.

I actually came here twice...as it was so much easier to get into this location then the one on the waterfront. I loved the ambiance, the staff was great. The first time I had the spinach salad and the crab cake...from the starters menu...both were amazing. Hit the spot! The second time had the spinach salad and the Crispy Coconut Macadamia Shrimp...and again, both were amazing. Will add to this to my list of food spots, the next time I am in the area!!! I am definitely a fan!

Stopped by for small bites so happy hour was just right. Delicious and didn't have to get a drink. Got tuna slider and clam chowder.

We were at the Brig Monday, 2/19/24 to celebrate my birthday & our anniversary. Emily was our server and she was excellent. She was very good at taking our order and recognizing our celebrations. The food was so very good as well! Being there bought back memories of the Americas Cup in 1995 when I met him and the fun times we had! Thank you and thank Emily!!
