When we got there the security turned us down because my wife wasn’t 21 even though their advertisement says “21 and up AFTER 8pm”. So either they need new security or they need to update their signage. We were there for with a party of 6. Seems like a big loss of business to me. Safe to say we won’t be back east village down the road is MUCH better!

Staying in downtown San Diego and I went to Bubs primarily for their Wing Wednesday deal! The deal was 50% off wings. Got here at 3:30 pm, it was not busy and could easily find a table or place to sit. I ended up ordering an Firestone Walker 805 beer. For wings I ordered 5 Garlic Parmesan and 5 Lemon Pepper. The Lemon Pepper was super super good, amazing rub and flavor. The Garlic Parmesan was ok, great amount of garlic, lots of butter but not too much Parmesan. Both were solid but I definitely liked the Lemon Pepper. It also came with Ranch on the side which was nice. Overall solid place and I know it is a fan favorite before and after the Padres games.

Went on a Thursday afternoon and the place was lively but not overwhelming. The wings were incredible—lemon pepper dry rub and mild buffalo, both packed with flavor and great quality. The food was so good I didn’t even stop for a picture. Service was excellent with fast drinks, quick food, and an attentive server. Can’t wait to come back and explore more wing flavors and other menu items!
