Great to be back: We moved several years ago and traveled to San Diego for a wedding. We had an evening to go out and decided it would be great to go back to one of our favorites- Bullys. It was so great, still the best Prime Rib in town. What a San Diego treasure, thank you Bullys.
Walked in and wanted to use the bathroom, while my party was being seated. BOTH (!!!) bathrooms were closed for repair. How can a restaurant stay open without a single bathroom?!!!! Waitress was good. Food was ok, but very slow. My prime rib was very fatty, fattier than it should have been. The edge which should have been very flavorful, seemed more like rind. Couldn't cut the crust on the mud pie. We needed a steak knife to cut it! Hadn't been there in years,...
We've been to Bully's many time but this time my filet was so tough it was hard to cut with a steak Kinfe and even harder to chew.. We sent the filet back and waited for another which was only marginally better that he first. I will give them credit though, they did comp the filet.
