This would be a 1 star from me, but the fries were really good. Loved the seasoning on them, and for me, a crispy fry lover, they were perfect.
However, the burger was borderline inedible. I got "The Deck" and it was just a horrid smash burger. Dramatically over seasoned for a smash burger and actually burned to a crisp, which is some people's style I guess. Like, overcooking a smash burger is an art, and they crushed it.
Ended up just a being a bland, salty mess of a burger that really offered nothing new or interesting in such a crowded food space.

Love the burger deck. Been a long time rubicon fan and these burgers are great. I like the Baja deck add avo with half fries/onion rings and a brew!
This place is has one of the best smash burgers in San Diego!! I got the Baja Deck and the flavor came together like a symphony in my mouth. The fresh jalapeños, paired with the Chipotle aioli had the perfect level of spicy with being overwhelming. The bacon ? was perfectly thick and I didn't have to search to find it like other burger joints that I've been too. The patty wasn't over smashed, so one patty was good enough for me. The other options look good as well. Definitely NOT a menu that'll leave you stressed out from all the options. Well balanced. The shoestring truffle fries ? were delicious and not overly smuttered with truffle oil. Definitely a good amount for the price! The price is premium, so don't expect it to be cheap. We'll worth it though. Stop by and get burger if you're looking to try something new.

Came in for my time last week for the dirty deck special and was blown away. I’m already back again for more and can’t wait to dive in on one of the best smash burgers in town! Don’t miss the fries and great dipping sauces.

The outdoor deck set up is nice and relaxing. I ordered the Deck Burger; it comes with 2 smash patties (they are very tender) and an order of fries (they are thin and very generous with the serving). I have also tried their Mushroom Deck with patties, it is a great option if you are trying to stick to a protein style burger. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone I know.
