The best spot for a beer after a nice walk by the pier! And, if you are lucky, like we were, you can get a chance to listen to bands rehearsing for the evening event at the Rady Shell. The service was great, we didn't get food... but everything smelled delicious, and the atmosphere and the views were amazing!! Must check it out if you're looking for a relaxing stroll by the ocean.

Okay this is burger was really over the top. It’s cooked to order on an outdoor grill. Everything was fresh juicy crisp where it needed to be. I had the “al American” and addd bacon. These people don’t skimp and the burger is like one the chef would have served company at his own house. Best way to describe it. I started fishing on the pier in my early retirement. Yes. Like started today haha. I’ve been eying this place. I am so a regular customer now even though I’ve only bought one burger. Wife is coming with me next time as I sent her a photo of the sign that said 4 dollar beers during padre games! Good job.

Very simple but awesome place at the waterfront. I had the Pastrami Burger and an IPA. So juicy and delicious. After that, you just can walk a few feet and digest in the sun looking at the bay and Coronado.

All American Burger w/ Avocado & Bacon was huge and absolutely fantastic. Worth it all the way.
Beautiful atmosphere for an open mic and even great to hear the owners play.

Public fishing pier directly behind the convention center. They rent fully setup fishing rods for $5/hr or $20/day, and they sell bait. I think you do not need a fishing license to fish here (you should confirm that). We caught a bunch of speckled bass on the anchovy bait from the bait shop. The bait shop also sells food, drinks, and beer. The atmosphere at the pier was friendly and relaxed.
Highly recommend it as an easy place to fish for a couple hours if you are in town for a conference or convention.

A great burger spot right on a pier. You feel like you are with your friends at a bbq as they make the food just feet away from you on the grill. The burger was cooked perfectly and all the ingredients are fresh.

I can’t stop thinking about the Baja burger here!! It was SO good. I felt like I was with my friends having a cookout on the grill, that’s the vibe this place gives. Right on the fishing pier with great views and even better food — try it!!

Stopped into Burgers, Tacos & Beer and it absolutely delivered. The concept is simple, but they execute it really well—everything feels fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
The tacos were a standout—great portions, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor.
The vibe is casual and fun, with a good mix of locals and visitors. Service was quick and friendly, even during a busy time, which always makes a difference.
If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with great food and a cold beer, this is an easy recommendation. Perfect for a quick bite.

Great place to grab a burger for lunch.
My crew and I were doing some business down at the docks and decided to stop in for a bite. I got the Baja burger someone else got the pastrami burger. Both were phenomenal. The price seems a bit steep but the burger will fill you up, so definitely worth it. We will be returning next time we're down there.

My wife and I's first meal in San Diego was eaten here. The food was delicious and very affordable! She got the carne asada nachos and I got the pastrami burger. The asada was seasoned well and cooked just right (you know, that beautiful charred crisp at the tips...mmmmhmmmm) and the pastrami burger was large and supreme. All veggies seemed exceptionally fresh as if they were chopped for our meal (they may have been, tbh). Staff was chill and attentive, too. Definitely worth a drop-by if you're nearby!

Don’t be in a rush. It will take a little while for your food to be freshly prepared, but it’s worth it. Sit back & enJOY the waterfront view!
