I was apprehensive about going to yet another Italian Restaurant but my friend insisted that this was a good one. He was right. Excellent in every category. I did their name sake dish and not since I was in Rome have I had such a good Cacio! Peppery for sure and pasta perfection. My friend did the braised short ribs over mash and it was also a winner. Lastly, we needed a slight modification on the green salad and the chef accommodated us without and extra charge or without issue. Great place. And there is a creative and fun 'speak easy' in the back. Cool!

Stellar service and the food was delish. Everything came out at the right time and our server was knowledgeable with the menu.

Food was good and portions great. There's definitely better tasting Italian/Roman food in San Diego but not bad. I'd go back if I didn't feel like going to Point Loma or little Italy

We had a lovely meal at Cacio E Pepe! Amazing service & food. A beautiful restaurant inside too. Will definitely come again!

I came for my birthday dinner and our server, I believe her name was Kerra, made our experience amazing. She was very kind and checked in on us at the right times. She even gave me a gemini gift at the end of our dinner. We ordered a charcuterie board and the pesto pizza and it was good to share between 4 of us. The restaurant overall was very cute and the presentation and taste of the food and drinks was superb.

Loved it! Super good service and great food. Check out the speakeasy next door after eating

One of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious. Service is the best. Be aware that they charge a 3% service charge for using a credit card. That's quite disappointing and kind of offensive. Wait staff will most likely suffer with a less than usual tip.

Yet another mediocre Italian place in San Diego. Drinks were good, limoncello martinis was very tasty. Food was not good; my risotto was mostly cheese with the little bit of actual risotto being raw, too salty with no other seasoning. Service was mid, nice but they got one person's order completely wrong and served another person's meal 10 min after everyone else.

I love this restaurant and I took a guest. I know good Italian food and I was so disappointed. It was like the guys in the kitchen were not Italian or girls. The food was mediocre. The Ragu was good and everything else sucked. The bread was burnt. They charged a split fee for the Caesar salad, which was very poor. A Caesar salad doesn't use the big Romaine leaves they to use the center hearts. I've eaten here many times before and I am thoroughly disappointed and don't know if I'll ever return I think the owner should be aware of this it was not a good night very disappointed to have taken a guest

We had a fantastic experience at Cacio E Pepe Trattoria Romana, with the exception of their Bucatini Cacio E Pepe which was not good. The bucatini itself was both al dente and gummy/pasty all at the same time and the sauce was lacking enough Pepe to offset the unusual funk of the Parmesan cheese - just start to finish, not good. The Barbabietola Insalata was delicious even though it was drizzled with Balsamic vinegar rather than Balsamic “pearls,” some of the pecans were just plain instead of candy, and we didn't find any pickled mustard seeds, but altogether it was de.li.cious, so it didn't matter. Also, the Brushchetta alla Romana was very tasty, but still could have used a little work with riper tomatoes and better seasoning, and a different style of bread, but it was still solid. What was spot on was the Veal Scallopini with Mushroom Risotto - chef's kiss! Well done! And service was very good! We were incredibly pleased by it! Thanks for taking such great care of us!

Went for girls night overall very good. Bathrooms were closed so that was disappointing. Had to trade silverware was dirty for both sets. Food was delicious good portions and shareable.

First impression, nice ambient it was a quiet night. The place was not busy. But not impress about date night special dinner. Drinks were a little off, maybe balance or flavor. can be improved. Same with the food, not much flavor is my pasta.

We were visiting from Indianapolis and looking for a quaint Italian restaurant, we found just what we were looking for! The meatball appetizer is amazing, best meatballs we've ever had, and we always order meatballs to judge an Italian restaurant. The tableside cheese wheel pasta included sundried tomatoes and shrimp, not to be missed! Other notables, pizza and chicken parmesan too. The staff was welcoming and provided a great dining experience in addition to the meal.

Great vibe with multiple generations enjoying delicious food. The artichoke appetizer and lamb risotto entree were excellent. Great to get a great meal that delivered at a reasonable price. Ask about the speakeasy.
