Another sort of average Italian spot pretending to be something more… it’s meh. We started with zucchini blossoms, which were 3 for $17… and were super average… and then we had the carbonara which was not real carbonara, and a pistachio/pesta pasta with mussels, which was fine and the mussels were not super fresh. Can everyone stop overhyping these places? Sub par Italian, overpriced like everything else.

Gabriel was so kind as to make sure the music noise level was to our liking, took the time to help us decide what to order and was remarkably attentive throughout the entire meal. We felt like family!

Really enjoyed eating here. Some friends had recommended it as a new restaurant in town and even featured on instagram. We ate early and it wasn't crowded, felt like we received star service, or server Sophia was great and very knowledgable. She explained the drink menu and wine menu to us and applauded us on the menu items we ordered. For appetizers we got the bruschetta alla romana, the Crispy artichokes heart + garlic + mint + white wine, and zucchini blossom. The Blossom's sauce had a little heat but not too. We did family style and also split 3 entrees, the carbonara with thick pasta which we really liked, pappardelle ragu and the cacia e pepe pizza. I recommend this venue to anyone. We were easily able to park and enjoyed the ambiance.

This was our first time dining at Cacio E Pepe. We expected it to be good, but it was way beyond that and is now our favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego. From cocktails to dessert, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was helpful and attentive and the restaurant itself is absolutely darling. We can't wait to go back! PS The Cacio E Pepe pasta is the best we've ever had!

We totally enjoyed our dinner. It is a small comfortable venue and is a local gem. We started with Caesar salad and bruschetta which were both excellent. My husband ordered chicken parm and I ordered cacio Pepe pasta which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning in the future

Don't ask. Unfortunately, the whole evening was a disaster. They have the doors open and freezing cold windy air was blowing into the restaurant. Our waitress was also a bartender the chicken marsala like an old shoe sole. The kitchen was very backed up therefore you tell you tell by the quality of the food. It's a beautiful space very trendy but nowadays everybody's doing that unfortunately we didn't have a pleasant experience and won't be back.

We experienced Cacio Pepe for San Diego Restaurant Week It was our first visit. The resteruant is very cute Great ambiance Has booths and tables, and a great open bar area. There is also a secret “speakeasy” in the back. Food was amazing Tirimasu THE STAR!! Waiters and staff were very attentive and friendly but NOT overly so. We will DEFINITELY be back
