I love this place. The food is delicious, their drinks are great, and the service is friendly and efficient. The best thing is their happy hour where you can try different samples for a very good price.

Order the Saganaki if you are a cheese fan. It comes with a flame show and the taste is so good. We go to this restaurant often because almost everything in the menu is delicious. The interior design is cozy and rustic. There is a small outdoor seating area. The staff is so nice and attentive. They always have a smile on their face. Overall I definitely recommend this place.

Before I forget: they have a killer happy hour after 3 pm. Do not miss it.

Our go-to for takeout. The gyro wrap and plate have our hearts!

I had been to Cafe Athena as a child with my mother when it first opened, but had not been back again until the other night. It was delicious! The service was great. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. And the bill did not break us when it came. We have found our go to Greek restaurant!

In search of Mediterranean food, we stumbled on to this cafe tucked away in a corner on Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach. Food was delicious, good portion sizes, and a variety of plates. I’ll definitely be back again.

Ordered takeout from Cafe Athena during the week and decided to try this as it was nearby. Ordered chicken and gyro plates, and unfortunately, the chicken was undercooked. We had a kids plate with undercooked chicken, which was more concerning. We re-cooked the chicken and rice and my spouse ended up with mild food poisoning regardless. Will not be returning. Gyro was ok but nothing seemed super fresh.

Despite this, ambiance was nice inside, and the staff was friendly.

We have been customer for over a decade and was a go to place when in pb. We moved away for last 3 years but came back and found things in menu changed. The pizza was a dijorona frozen thing which was same as grocery store. The salad has changed with dressing and cost for large salad and gyro for 20 bucks. Maybe it's all me and my wife but that's ridiculous to spend 50 on a that meal. Sorry my love for Athena is gone. Will I give it another chance. Of course you been like a friend for over a decade. Do I miss the old you... so much.

The place is very beautiful, the service is excellent, including in Portuguese from the staff. The food was perfect. We ordered the bruschetta and another starter with flambéed cheese, which were especially delicious. It was really worth it, one of the best places I ate in the USA.
