We came on a rainy night on new year's eve. We were seated promptly but it took a minute for our server to come by. She was nice though. I took a minute to find something that could be good to modify for the many food allergies I had, but once I was ready, our server came back and took our order and we were given a basket of chips. The chips were mostly fragments and felt like the remnants of a batch that was made earlier but the new batch wasn't ready yet... at least they were warm. It took a bit for the food to come out and when I got my plate, despite asking for no dairy (milk, cheese, butter), there was cheese on the beans. My plate was taken back and brought out a couple of minutes later with no cheese. I wasn't sure what else might have been miscommunicated about my plate, so I just prayed everything would be fine and ate what was offered in faith since my wife really wanted Mexican food and I was hungry. (It was a long day!)
Their guacamole is top notch and the asada was very tasty. My wife enjoyed her meal. Her small margarita was huge, which may be a great thing for many of you! 😂
The girl walking around taking photos just kind of popped up and asked if we wanted a free picture, our might have been a long night for her too. She was a little surly and not too happy when we didn't want to pay for the other picts she took. You make a sale sometimes and sometimes you don't. 🤷🏽♂️
There's definitely room for for improvement service wise, but it was a rainy day close to closing time on new year's eve so I guess humans are gonna human. 🤷🏽♂️

A big group of us came for a friend’s birthday. Only one had somewhat decent food. None of us had good food. We all ordered the pina colada smoothie and they were RANCID. They did take those off our check tho which we appreciated. 10/10 for our amazing server and the mariachi gentlemen that sang happy birthday to the birthday girl. Otherwise would not recommend.

Popped by for lunch earlier this week with our dog and had an incredible experience with excellent service from Ana! You can't go wrong with anything on this menu but make sure you get the fresh tortillas. They offer a little menu for dogs that is adorable and makes the place feel extra welcoming. Wonderful atmosphere, speedy service, highly recommend.

Great atmosphere. Delicious drinks - we had the michelada flight and ofrenda margarita (October special). Our server Aide made a suggestion of the tacos Al pastor which complemented my sopa de albóndigas super well. Highly recommend. ¡salud!

Family Visit from Texas. Amazing staff and service. Didn't feel rushed to leave. FOOD AWESOME. Huge margaritas wife loved it I definitely had to drive. Amazing people and staff. Prices were well worth the atmosphere and service. Fajitas. Our son Fell in love with the smash burger. Huge burger and juicy. Have told all our friends about Cafe Coyote. If we ever go back to San Diego we Will return to this restaurant. Beautiful location Close to Everything. Buildings and foliage.
