Nice atmosphere with different seating options indoors and outdoors. Drinks were good: red velvet latte and the caffe emmline. Tiramisu was a little dry (lady fingers weren't soaked in coffee first).
Overall would go again and it's right in the heart of Little Italy under the sign

I ordered a latte, which essentially consisted of a lot of milk with a hint of coffee. Very tastless

Not too many options. Coffee was cold. Very limited seating and tables were dirty.

Best espressos west of Italia
Very nice small coffee place with some breakfast/lunch options. White mocha was good, I feel like it would be better sweeter but that’s my preference. Sadly it was crowded and hot inside, (got crowded right after the picture was taken) it’d be nice if the outdoor seating were available even in the rain.

Came here just to get a coffee fixed before heading to the Farmers market and it was really a hidden gem!
Husband and friends all ended up getting the Iced Vietnamese Latte because it was that good! We ordered just one to try and it was so good that 2 others just ordered the same thing after that.
Definitely recommend!

I ordered a cappuccino and a carrot cake, as one of the reviews strongly recommended them. Unfortunately, both were disappointing. The milk foam had large bubbles and lacked the tension needed to hold its shape, while the coffee itself tasted unpleasantly gritty, almost like biting into dirt. The carrot cake was extremely dry—to the point that I couldn’t take more than two bites without drinking water.
The barista was friendly but not very attentive, and I wasn’t asked whether my order was for here or to go. Additionally, the restroom appeared to be shared among multiple stores and was quite unsanitary, which further detracted from the overall experience.

This place was delicious. Tried an Expresso based on their recommendation. 👍
The tiramisu and creme brulee were the best I've ever had (but I haven't had many)... ok they were among the best desserts I've ever had in my life ever!

Cafe Italia has a fantastic atmosphere (10/10) and friendly staff, but the execution falls short. My 12oz coffee order came as a 16oz to-go despite requesting for here. The egg and cheese panini with sundried tomatoes and pesto was disappointing - underseasoned, missing the pesto, and served on sad, squished bread. Great vibe, but the food and attention to detail need work.

This Italian owned coffee shop in the heart of Little Italy, San Diego makes excellent espresso. They offer some goods bites, too. The service is very friendly.
