My absolute favorite banh mi sandwich place. Quick service, fresh, and the staff is courteous and extremely friendly! I’ve been going there for over 20 years. I hope they never go out of business.

Stew had over cooked big carrot and overcooked thin noodle beef cut was the cheapest it was full of nerves
Water service is meh 🫤 had 1 nibbles if part carrot 1 part beef and 4 spoons of broth I was hungry but the worst stew ever

Really like this place! It's not over the top or fancy but has good Vietnamese hole in the wall eatery vibes. Solid food, pretty good prices, can't go wrong. Not too busy either.

This was my first time having Cali Baguette Express. The baguette was phenomenal; it’s baked fresh every day. The sandwich filling was similarly fantastic. I highly recommend, and I will be returning.

Great, albeit small banh mi. But for the price, the size and taste can’t be beat. The baguettes are warm and cheap when you purchase them on their own. They sell pate by the can as well as some other things.

We ordered a lemongrass pork sandwich and rice noodle combo with egg rolls. The baguette was baked well stuffed with fresh meat and vegetables, but the jalapeños tasted so spicy. The noodle combo tasted amazing with decent noodle, flavorful meat, and sweet juicy. Egg rolls were crispy. Anyway, their lemongrass pork was phenomenal.

This is just my preference, but I asked to have a Viet coffee as bitter as possible and the cashier asked "are you ok with having it strong" (apparently the condensed milk is always added to blunt the bitterness). Most Viet or boba shops don't really let you have bitter Viet coffee because the condensed milk is already added, but this is only only place I've been to so far that lets you have it that way.

The store looked family-owned because the cashier had excellent hospitality and of course the food was a 10/10.
