Not the best banh mi in San Diego, but it's the only non fast-food and non-mexican food option open before 10am in Convoy. The service was exceptional and they have a really yummy Vietnamese iced coffee.

My husband ordered four different banh mi. The grilled chicken , the lemon grass , surf & turf, & the Cod. Personally the bread itself was great , but the overall banh mi’s were okay. The lemon grass steak meat was okay and peppered nicely but I could taste lemon grass at all. My sister didn’t like the grilled chicken she said it lacked flavor for her. The surf and turf was normal, and my husband said the Cod seemed more like fish filets from the freezer section in the grocery market. The surround ingredients that are typically found in a banh mi (daikon, jalapeños, carrots,& cilantro) were nice and fresh though. Nothing to really write home about. And we got lemon grass beef spring rolls the dipping sauce is good, & the Roll itself is okay. Parking is free. Small plaza . Customer service was great.

This was the best sandwich I had in a long time. I had the ribeye sandwich with jalapeños and cilantro and boy was it flavorful.

When I unwrapped my banh mi, I noticed a small dark dot at the left end of it. I thought, “mold?” I started to peel it off only to find a coiled piece of wire that may have been lodged in the dough before it was baked. I removed it and checked the rest of my sandwich for any other foreign objects. All four of us checked before we ate. I decided to eat my sandwich and let them know through my review what their staff overlooked. The sandwich was okay.

Went at 10 am on a weekend there were not many customers at that time ordered a Chicken Banh Mi and a Veggie Loaf Banh Mi, both of them were inexpensive and pretty good. Their Baguette was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Food is basic, not really authentic. Service is bad (rude, not attentive and place is shady on the price as the state “price on menu needed update”. Charged me 16$ for 6 egg rolls when the menu said 13, and the guy himself told its 1.90 each ???? Just confusion and place kinda passive aggressive about it. Could be way better.

A Vietnamese friend of mine introduced me to Banh Mi and I would try it whenever I have the chance. A coworker told me about this place, so I had to try it. I am glad I did try it. The bread was good and not chewy like some when the sandwich is cold. The fillings were generous and tasted really good. If you ever feel.like having a Vietnamese sandwich, I do suggest giving them a try.
I always order same thing, Top Sirloin work fried rice. food quality is keep getting worse and i received literally worst quality today.Why isn't your quality consistent?

I ordered a Cali bowl with grilled chicken, mixed greens, and Saigon sauce and a lemongrass ribeye bahn mi. My friend and I loved the food! My friend said his bahn mi was a solid 8.5/10. The chicken in my bowl was juicy and tender, and the Saigon sauce was light and flavorful. We really enjoyed the food overall.The restaurant itself is simple, but they have a range of items to order beyond bahn mi and bowls, including freshly baked French bread and desserts. The prices aren’t crazy either, especially since they give you really large portions of everything.
