California Pizza Kitchen at Carmel Mtn

Cross contamination caused severe peanut allergy. I told my server however something went wrong. This happened at this location a couple of years ago also. Just a caution if you have an allergy. I’ve not had an issue at other locations but still will not eat at this chain again.

I just ordered food Togo with curbside pickup as an option . Spoke to someone at the restaurant to place the order they took the detail of my vehicle and when I approached the restaurant I saw the curbside pickup was blocked for fresh paint . I called the restaurant and this girl unapologetically asked me to come inside . I found this super unprofessional that 20 mins ago I was not told about the parking lot being blocked off . I was not prepared to walk in and this young lady was absolutely condescending to the fact when I I requested her to come out to give my food that was ordered just 20 mins back .
I usually never to a bad review because I work in customer service myself but the attitude of those 2 young Ladies when I walked in made me do this mins after my pickup .
Please teach your staff some empathy and let them learn it’s ok to use the word “sorry” and not say “ we are having people come inside for their food “

Great delicious food!! I'm gluten intolerant so I was soooo happy to discover they had a coliflower crust, and let me tell you it's DELICIOUS!! I couldn't believe it was gluten-free. Also I had the coliflower buffalo bites yummm!! It was a Friday after work so we were having a great time!!

We had lunch here - ordered two dishes, an app, and a drink.

After our app came, I began to notice that many of the servers and other front facing employees were chit chatting. I don't think it's abnormal that workers chit chat. However, I saw them carrying ~5 minute conversations around the cash register - between two and four people. I don't know about others but they ignored basic things like refilling water and taking away dirty plates. I deliberately left my empty water cup near the edge for my server to see - but he didn't come for well over 5-8 minutes.

This behavior continued after we ate our mains and sat around waiting for the bill. By this time (around 12:30PM), there were 30+ people in the restaurant. Yet servers continued to have long conversations around the register. We ended up waiting 10+ minutes for our bill and couldn't even get a hold of our server after paying on the inKind app.

I've eaten in many restaurants and haven't seen this kind of lax behavior amongst servers ... ever. Maybe the manager needs to step in and train servers and other front facing employees to limit the small talk. The kitchen folk were working very diligently and didn't seem to have time to chat.

Food was okay but overpriced. Atmosphere was fine.

Came to Cpk for lunch on a Wednesday and the joint was jumping. We had the chicken picatta and their limited hot honey chicken pizza. Both were excellent. I also had their version of a Pina colada and it had me buzzed halfway through. Compliments to the bartender. Cpk never disappoints.

Pizza was horrible, the salad was not good. The drinks, especially the Mocktails. Horrible!! Although when we asked for another the server was kind to replace it. Servers are good. But the food is bad.

This is the new Burrata Pizza I ordered to go . They give you 1 ball of burrata to tear up and put on it.

I was very disappointed that it was mostly
burned and was surprised the chefs actually
Gave it to us.
