Not a good experience for me. First time was bad. Gave it another chance, same outcome.

Delicious food and beers for a campground.
Prices are a bit steep, if you want a burger and a beer it’ll set you back $25-$30 🤑 but you pay for the convenience of not having to cook at camp. Wish they had sliders or hot dogs or cheaper options.

The guacamole is old and not fresh tasting nor looking. For the prices that you pay you expect better food. Chicken was super dry in the burrito. And so on and so forth. Try harder cantina.

The cantina is a lot of fun and normally the food is good but lately it seem something has changed the food is not as good ..I ordered a pulled pork and it supposed to have coleslaw and fries the cold slaw was missing and sandwich barely had any meat.

I went to this place because of the good reviews. But I was really disappointed with the food. I ordered a carnitas burrito the size was ok, but the quality of the product does not correspond to the price. The guacamole was simple with big chunks of tomato and onion with little cheese, I felt like I was eating tomato with meat. I must say that the meat was soft but the flavor was simple. The drink was very good, good balance. The bad thing was the shredded coconut they put in, I thought it would taste more like coconut. The wait staff was very friendly and the delivery time was very good. The place has a beautiful view.

I don’t know where to start. If you haven’t been here recently I would spend time reading all the bad reviews because they are incredibly accurate. This place is where you drop off horny teenagers, to drink underage, and ride their e-bikes without helmets at full speed. We’re talking hundreds of teenagers running in packs of 10-20. This place is out of control. The rangers and staff don’t care. They only care when they can capitalize on the issue. Like charging $25 per day to bring your own golf cart! Be prepared to get hit by at least one golf cart or e-bike. This place is also overrun by tent campers, like 15 people deep in one tent site. We had trash from the tent sites blowing into our camp site. If I could summarize the crowd this draws it be would if Pismo beach and Glamis had a baby it would be called Campland Rv, except you are squeezed together in tiny spots and it costs $250 per night. Save your money and run. You won’t get a spot at the beach. They let campers leave their popup canopy’s over night because they can’t capitalize on it. So good luck squeezing in. Regret, is how I would summarize my overall experience. Regret that I spent so much to stay here. It ruined our family vacation. I’d ask for my money back if I knew I had a chance to recoup it.

Worst trip ever was there only one day planned on enjoying three nights. Had trailer dropped off on Friday morning check in. My senior mom and her grandson stayed there until we arrived late Sunday night and slept. Spoke to a security guard that night when we arrived on a golf cart the other space next to us had all their tables, pop up, table awnings up over our spot because the trailer was not parked correctly when dropped off but I told him no big deal it was late we would move over correctly tomorrow. Went to the public restroom two young girls using Cocaine in the men’s restroom and washing their feet under the sink. Returned later before going to bed to use the restroom again and the two girls were in a shower stall with two other boys taking shots and recorded them on sink and in shower stall talking about using cocaine and friends they looked like they were locals and saw them later walking in and out of the exit. With nothing being said by security. Next morning saw the two girls walking around in same dirty clothes. It was disgusting. Sweat pants filthy etc. I was approached by our neighbor who said they received a notice to move belongings I told them it was not a big deal we were moving sites next to friends since an opportunity opened up next to them. The only reason why the open spot to move to was because the family that was there was feed up with the environment. We also left early too because Ranger Dave and security have no control over this place it’s a free for all with young teenagers riding golf carts ect…. believe me it’s not a family environment save your money. I have been going there for years and finally to return after years it’s changed. Not a family environment. And I’m not the only one who thinks this way other people within the sites said the same thing who we didn’t know but gave me there information and will also probably post.

First of all, we paid 200$, for an awful noisy parking space! It was a Premium site, they said…. We went during the Father’s Day weekend. I knew it was very pricey, but a campground located in San Diego, on the beach, I thought let’s take it! What a mistake! The pics on the internet site don’t show that this campground is in fact a huge PARKING LOT! No grass, but a black paved lot with white lines not much larger than in a Walmart lot. Just a little space for an awning open and a picnic table underneath. The premium site was the same, with a tiny little grass spot, full of weeds, on the canal side. But our van was in a parking space… San Diego was a nice 4 day stop for our 2 month road trip adventure. Unfortunately, every time we got back from some sightseeing tour in the city, we got so tense in the campground. The noise is awful, the music so loud at night, even after the quiet hours. The bands invited or the DJs stop at around 9 pm, but the campers play loud music on their sites, or bicycle riders SHARE their music with you, carrying beatbox players, lights and so many people aboard…It’s like a freak show. It’s not even secure to walk, there are so many bikes with kids and teenagers at night. The e-bikes even go as fast as 20 km, and the riders aren’t careful at all. And the security does nothing about it. A place to avoid. Never experienced something like this before.

Love this place! Cheap but good food and drinks. I dont pack food at all anymore when i camp here just some snack stuff. Breakfast burritos rock and everything else is great at reasonable prices. Why cook and clean..You are on vacation and the people are great!

We were able to ride out bikes all around Mission Bay, to Mission Beach, to grocery stores and to Old Town San Diego. Easy bus service to downtown. Didn't move our camper van for the whole week. Lots of washrooms, no more than a few steps from almost all campsites. Good wifi. Sites are a little close together but we didn't have anyone next to us as it was early in the year so not very full. This was our second trip and we would definitely go again.
