Campland on the Bay

I have multiple problems with this facility where do I start. Well I spent a total of 20k last summer at this place just trusting it’s a well known resort.. after reviewing billing they ripped me off knowing I have a limo company charged me excessively.. even after I left multiple times at a place you have to pay a reservation before you stay. I never got my refund on cord or any deposit back. After 4 months of calling to be blown off trying to figure out this whole situation I get left with an attitude an ohh sorry our billing system changed…. DAVE and NANCY are the problems here everything goes to Dave .. guy just works here thinks he owns the place. SO NOW WE HAVE COVERED BILLING FRAUD.

WE MOVE TO SAFETY CONCERNS …
WE HAD SOMEONE TRY AND BREAK INTO OUR RV WITH KID INSIDE…. THEY LET THE PERSON STAY NEXT TO US .. no wonder why bad things are happing here… DONT STAY HERE AND CHECK THE NEWS AND REVIEWS BEFORE YOU GET IN A FRAUD/SAFETY CONCERN.

I HAVE RAISED MY CONCERNS TO BOTH CITY AND CEO LEVEL AS THIS PROPERTY IS CITY OWNED AND RENTED BY THEM. I will continue to leave bad reviews until the CEO calls me personally to handle this situation WITH SPECIFIC NAMES TO MY SITUATION.

Summer concerts !!

Our site as well as others around us did not have electricity.

We loved everything about this campground. The site we had had a problem with the water. We had water and all faucets in our trailer worked. When we hooked up to the water at the site every faucet plugged up and our CO2 alarm went off. We were 2 days without water in the trailer. Our friends were 2 sites from us and didn't have a problem. We have stayed here before without problems.

Needed help and store went above and beyond with help

It's a pretty cool place to hang in the summer, but it gets super crowded and very noisy. If you enjoy camping right next to your neighbor in a parking lot style arrangement, then you'll love this place.

Extremely clean restrooms and campground.

Campland offers free parking and coastal access to non-guests. Obtain a pass and guidelines at the entry booth and adhere to the rules. There is a public restroom adjacent the beach. This is a great place to enjoy the bay in a safe, family-friendly atmosphere.

My family and I have been going here
For over 30 years
I have the most precious childhood memories here with cousins, family and friends. When I was younger, we used to travel two hours to get to camplin.Now I moved to san diego.I'm right down the street.It's literally my staycation!

We go every year now. It's a great place to relax and unwind with having kids with us too.

This is the 14th year we've been coming to camp land on the bay for our family reunion. We usually take over cinnamon keel circle. Always have so much fun!

Had a great time camping in a tent! Going back for sure. Great Canteena, great little store fun activities!

The campground is huge, the spots are right on top of each other and a bit small but everything worked out great for me. My neighbors were great so it worked out fine. If your neighbors aren't so great you may not enjoy yourself but that's the luck of the draw. The campground is well maintained, the bathrooms and showers were super clean and showers are free. The beach on the bay was very nice and relaxing, the bay water was clean. Just a heads up, quite hours are from 11pm to 8am, everyone is having a good time all the way up to 11 so if your early to bed you may have a hard time getting and staying asleep. I had a great time and will be back for sure.

Packed this weekend

Will never go here again. Its basically very ghetto with loud noise and a vulgar atmosphere. Never got one good night sleeping. Rangers don't even come around to enforce quiet hours. So disappointed. Will definitely stick with KOA San Diego Metro in Chula Vista.
