I didn't feel very welcomed here. When I asked the cashier if they served any pastries there, she seemed annoyed (just from my presence, in general), only pointing at a display in a corner. I don't think she greeted/acknowledged me at all. After that, I simply left. And I am a happy long-term customer of Capital One's (10 years).

I sat down at a table briefly after my atm transaction and someone came over and started asking questions, very much a "why are you sitting here" vibe. I asked for clarification on why the check was being held, and she gave a complete non answer then had the audacity to say she wished I had talked to one of the "ambassadors" up front. Not a single person greeted me when I walked in (it wasn't busy and there was no line). Like wow sorry to bother you by trying to self serve and only asking a question when you approached me to make sure to keep those empty tables in the back empty!!

This company spent $100 million in 2017 over 10 years for sports venue naming rights. I cancelled my credit card after I received a letter stating my account was under review because I wasn't spending enough money. Twenty-one years a card holder and this is how they treat customers. How much money do they need? Well, no more from me. Salt Lake City THIEVES.

Great place! Sometimes can get a little bit noisy but is very comfy and coffee can be 50% off with capital one card.

The coffee is not very good. La Columbe in UTC is much better (for the same price without a capitol one card). I laid down in one of the back rooms and was asked to take my feet off the couch, which I did, and then was told I wasn’t allowed to lay down. I don’t see a reason to do this. In my opinion are micromanaging people for no good reason. I was lying down for a disability-related reason, but even if I was not I don’t think that’s fair. I don’t like to be watched every moment while I’m in a building. I understand why you may want to make the place seem professional because it's connected with a bank, etc, but I'm rating a cafe and not a bank.Lestat’s is downtown and out of the way for me but it’s a relaxed environment and open later, and the coffee is actually good. And I also won't have to be patrolled by a worker every 5 minutes in case I'm not sitting good enough. So even though I like the location and the seating is good I’ll probably just go to Starbucks (for indoor seating) or La Columbe if I want to study here. The only good thing is that with a capital one card you can get $2 coffee, the only thing is that it will taste like $2.

I primarily use capital one for my banking institution. I went in, and a nice employee told me how to deposit my money in the self-service atms they have in the back.Benefits: If you use Capital One, you get 50% off on drinks if you use your associated credit/debit card. This is their loss-leader, and it works.Cons: I don't see why you're getting coffee if you don't hold an account with them.Kid-friendliness: It's a bank, but also a cafe. Don't sweat the details.

Today 12/23 I walked in at 8:48pm. I noticed from outside it was dark and the agent Janet was finished cleaning. They said sorry we are closed. I said what time do you closed, she said 9. It was now 8:50pm. I then went to ATM and then saw a table w gift wrap. The rude agent Gabriel said that's only for in cafe. I asked if I could take a piece of the pretty paper and ribbon he said no.Extremely rude Janet and Gabriel. Put sign matches your employees timeframe.Clean 830 and don't ask for a drink after that.

Cashier was not articulating her words. Confused us, which confused her. When we tried to clarify what types of coiffed was available, she pointed to a menu away from the cash register.

Let me spill the beans on the Capital One Cafe - duuude, what a treat!! The 50% off on drinks when you use your Capital One card is a game-changer!! The switch from Peet's to Verve Coffee Roasters was an awesome surprise; their iced honey lavender latte was a sweet escape, though a tad light on the lavender taste. 'Tis the season for pumpkin spice lattes, & unfortunately, their PSL was like autumn in a rainstorm - watered down and lacking that spicy warmth. Nevertheless, the cafe was buzzing with students taking advantage of the affordable craft coffee, ample tables, outlets, and WiFi. The service was as smooth as their brews, enhancing the overall positive vibe. A perfect spot to caffeinate and conquer the day!

Upon walking in the space seemed daunting like it would be for Members Only. To my surprise, everyone is Welcome to The Capital One Café which is nice. There are special perks for CO card owners. I got a 50% discount for using my capital one card which is pretty amazing!! The latte was $6.25 and with the discount it was $3.13 ~ To drink, I ordered an Iced Honey Lavender Latte (with 2% milk). And oh my god, I am so stoked they have THE VERVE COFFEE ROASTERS here!!! Ah!!, this beats Peet's Coffee out of the park! The Verve (located in Santa Cruz) is 10000 times better than Peet's. Now speaking about my latte...it tastes more honey with a touch of lavender. It is pretty balanced with the espresso. I'm happy that the lavender is not too much because I don't want to be drinking a perfume-y drink. Also the ice they use is so good! I've been here more than one hour and the ice hasn't melted. That's insane, what sorcery is this? For a cafe, I wished they served things in a "for here" cup rather than plastic usage... For seating: there are so many seats. They have against the wall seating with outlets. Communal seating with outlets. And multiple circle tables by the door that seats two people. Then if you walk further in they have large wooden tables that seats about 4-6 people. And in addition, two red cushioned couch like seating. Great for study groups, team meetings if that's your thing, go with a friend or family, or even by yourself. The only thing I'd fix would be the lighting they have for the space. The lights flicker occasionally and it's a bit dim in some spaces. The lighting isn't very even. These lights are small and high up which doesn't give much coverage for the table. They would do better keeping the warm lighting they have at the coffee bar through out the cafe. At the moment, the lighting gives me IKEA vibes. The music ambiance needs some work. At the front of the place it said that they look to create a space where they can inspire people to use creative mindsets (summarized in my words because I can't remember exactly what was said). They played: 1000 miles, Torn, Paradise, bad Habits. All these songs are reminiscent of when I was in middle school/high school. To be honest, I'd love if they played Nothing But Thieves and other artists like that. Imagine, Members Only and Something on My Mind being played here? The Dead Club City album playing would provide me and I'm sure many others such a creative and inspirational flow ~! Highly recommend coming here if you're in the UTC mall!

One credit card. Jazzy greeted me with a big, “Welcome in” and a huge smile upon entry. I told her, “I’m a Capital One customer. it’s my first time here . How does it work (because it a cafè and a bank).” She said, “Oh! Well, welcome! If you use your Capital One card, you get 50% off on drinks, just not the foods.” “That is awesome,” I replied. While I was thinking, “What’s in my wallet,” Jazzy handed me two free drink cards for me and my wife and said, “Hey, since it’s your first time, the drinks are on us.” I was sold!We ordered the breakfast sandwich, Croquet Monsieur, Carmel Macchiato Espresso and Iced Micha. GinaBee loved her breakfast sandwich with eggs and bacon. I enjoyed my grilled ham and Swiss cheese Croquet Monsieur. We WILL be back again to enjoy the excellent service and space.
