Carnitas Uruapan Family Restaurant

We got the carnitas special family meal. I loved how they put out all of the plates (rice, beans, onions, cilantro, avocado, carnitas, tortillas) on separate plates and had you make your own tacos. It made the experience especially fun with a big group. Tasted amazing. Surprised this place was empty on the day that I went.

Had the carnitas tora with fries tonight. It was delicious.

I was very disappointed in the carnitas. They were dry the mix ones was dry as well.

Parking: The service at this restaurant is top notch... every person waiting tables is kind and respectful. The food is delicious. I came in soon after they opened and told them I would recommend it to everyonevi know. Those who have tried it have been very pleased. What a great addition to the area!!!!!!!!

The truth is that apart from the fact that the chicharron was burnt and apart from the fact that the pico de gallo dish was disgusting, they give almost the whole thing so that you can bite into the tomato all enlamado!! It's not cheap enough for you to get these surprises! I won't even return the enlamado tomatoes again😒

food was just okay but when my boyfriend checked his statement today for his card, the bill was only $45 but his bank statement shows $55 so they clearly changed the tip after we had left which is ILLEGAL. Please avoid this place, the stomach ache and stealing of their patrons money isn’t worth it. Cute decor tho!

If you want some reheated carnitas go here, carnitas are not supposed to be crispy . Will not go again . This is the 2person plate. Cilantro and onion are not even diced. And came with no lemons either . Your local north gate carnitas are much better

Always great food and service. I have had an event here in the past that went great as well. The best compliment I can give is referring others. I have done that several times and will continue to do so.

I was really, really excited after having a great experience at the smaller location. I ordered a coctel de camarón (my bad, the name of the place has “carnitas” in it, so…). It was like trying to drink ketchup cut with tomato juice. I literally could not see cilantro, onion, nothing (but the shrimp and avocado were nice). I squeezed an entire lemon and dumped the extra salsa into the glass (I was really, really hungry) and sadly couldn’t finish it.
Maybe the carnitas are great. Don’t order the seafood.
