I stopped by this place yesterday May-24th, around 2:45 PM and the front door was locked and had a chain around it, I called the business number and no one answer, it seems that they have gone out of business.

I don't often seek out time to write a review, but the Bistek Ranchero at this restaurant is SOOO good!!! I've ordered it 4 times now and each time it is made with fresh ingredients with the perfect spice. The rice and beans are also on point which is something I can't say for many Mexican restaurants. Lastly, the corn tortillas were fresh and hit the spot! A little pricey here, but I'm never disappointed.

Omg I loved this place. It had a nice feel, easygoing, pleasant, good music, and the server was so so nice. He was so welcoming but in a nice chill way. And the food!!! SO GOOD. I am a harsh critic in general but especially when it comes to not only salsa but fajitas, which is my favorite dish. It was so delicious, so well-made, such good quality--as good as homemade if not better. I could have stayed there all day. I wish I could have ordered more and tasted more of the menu! I'm so glad I found this place!! I'll be back for sure!

This place has great food and excellent service! I ordered the enchilada plate with chicken cheese enchiladas and the hard chicken tacos. Best ever! And a nice bar to boot!

Spotless inside when you first walk in which is much appreciated. They were fast and friendly but the best part was the food. I got the shrimp tacos and shrimp ceviche and they were all delicious and seasoned perfectly. The shrimp was fresh and they used the large jumbo shrimps not the tiny ones you usually find. Def give this place a try

Great little place! We went during off-hours and everything was still made fresh to order. I'm obsessed with the salsa, and the veggie fajitas were delicious. I had a bite of the chicken and it was very well-seasoned (:

The Guatamalen Enchilida barely had ground beef and the price was little to high. Shrimp taco was delicious, but also pricey.

I came to the restaurant based off the comments. The food isn’t fresh. The chicken and shrimp I ordered tasted like propane gas. My whole food was barely warm like it has been in a microwave. Yes the gentleman running the place is very kind but the food is unsatisfactory no hard liquor license either just beer that’s 16.00 each.

I came here to eat two times because I saw a "closeout" deal on Local Flavor, only $7 for $20 food. I bought the max allowed, which is two certificates only eat-in, to go you have to order minimum $30 but still only give you $20 off. When I presented my certificate, the server got all upset and refused to accept it. She said it wasn't an "original", and showed me one that was in color. Well I have an old laser printer fron 2001, and it does not print in color. She thought it was a photocopy. What difference does it make, if they mark it used, if it is in color or not, even it if is a copy, they are supposed to document the certificate number. She said she did not want to have the $20 taken out of her pocket, if my certificate wasn't good. I brought in paper printout, but later went to the car to get my phone to show them in my LF account, that I did purchase the certificate. But guess what, my phone ran out of battery and I had to go back to my car, and get my charger and charge it in their restaurant, just to show them I purchased it. All that probably took 30 min. I never had any restaurant have a problem with the black and white print out in 15 years. Finally, she made a phone call and I don't know what, she said I had to order first before they could put in the certificate to see if it was good. So I ordered, and I guess they were satisfied. First time I ordered chili relleno plate $14, which server said was Guatamalen. Chili relleno was unremarkable, and I thought the beans and rice were skimpy. See photo. 3 stars. I also ordered to make my $20 LF purchase requirement a Guatamalan "enchilada" which turned out to look just like an open tostada $7. It was very bland, essentially a beet salad with some ground beef crumbles on a tostada shell. I rate that 2 stars. THESE TWO ITEMS ARE THE ONLY GUATEMALAN DISHES ON THE MENU NOW. Server told me they discontinued serving Guatemalan food on their menu, because during Covid, they were not popular and it was a lot of waste. I went back to use the second certificate and ordered chili relleno burrito which actually tasted better than the chili relleno plate for same price $14. Also ordered the octopus and shrimp cerviche tostata cammeron and pulpo (both cooked) which was good value because it made a meal in itself for $9. The tostada came swimming in 1 inch of liquid, which server told me it is the same ingredients as the cocktail, but they just put it on a tostada shell. I ate that at the restaurant and took home the burrito in my own take out containers which I carry in my car, cos I cannot bear to throw away so much plastics each time I eat out,. I wash and reuse. I am Sierra Club member. I rate the chili relleno burrito and the seafood tostada 3.5 stars. They did not skimp on the shrimp and octopus. Chili relleno was fat and tasted much better when I eat each bite with more salsa. Paying $7 for $20 food, I would certainly go back, but the deal is no longer available. I may still pay $10 for $20 in the future, as Local Flavor has very very few restaurants to pick from, and even fewer that will give you 50% off.

Not going to lie didn't know what to expect at first. The restaurant is on the second story of a hotel but it ended up being a Great place. Fresh made chips and salsa. The fajitas are great I would definitely go again.
