What a great historic venue. The staff was excellent. I'm very grateful i was able to be here for a great show. Please keep on rocking. I can't wait to come back.
I love the underground club feel.
Great for live music.
My favorite music venue in all of SD. It's our own CBGB's of San Diego. Tim Mays (the venue owner) is a legend!
This venue is a true classic. We were there last night to see Cory Cross and it was great. The venue was clean, bar service was perfect and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I recommend going to see a live show at this venue and sticking around for a few drinks after! 🍸
A great garage band throwback type venue where the musicians are connected with the crowd.
Ben Kweller was performing and the crowd was singing and jumping with him. Truly an intimate setting for carsmatic performers.
The Casbah isn't just a venue; it's a living, breathing testament to authentic rock and roll. Its intimate size (around 200 capacity) means you're never far from the stage, feeling every guitar riff vibrate through your chest and seeing the sweat fly off the musicians. There's a raw, unpretentious energy that's infectious – no fancy frills, just pure, unadulterated live music. You're part of the show, not just an observer. It's the kind of place where legendary bands played before they were huge, and where you can still discover your next favorite act, shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow music lovers. It truly embodies the spirit of an old-school rock club.
A really good place for live music.
Love this place! I've been coming here for 20 years and it's still the same (in a good way, of course.) It's comforting and doesn't try to be all trendy. Doesn't need to be. Has so many good shows.
Best live music venue in San Diego

955 Postal Way, Buena Vista Townhomes. A very nice, private place to live.
The two hour drive from LA was well worth it. Great staff, fantastic venue. One of the best music venues in Southern California.
Super cool space and great employees. Love love
I had an intimate concert experience here at Casbah. The atmosphere is incredibly laid-back, making it a fantastic place to catch live music without the overwhelming crowds. The venue has a full bar, which is a nice touch for those looking to grab a drink while enjoying the show. There's plenty of standing room, allowing for a more personal connection with the performance.
The vibe here is down-to-earth and relaxed. Parking can be a bit rough there, but there are also tons of paid parking inside the parking structure if you don't mind paying.
Great place to see your favorite band play. Kegs and or lines could be changed more frequently. Great sound.
