The workers make the place so not fun. They are toxic men who will harass and curse at u especially if ur a woman performing on stage. So if ur a woman who likes to be harassed then by all means go for it but if not avoid this place at all cost.

The Casbah is a great venue. It is small, so you are close to the bands. A great place to see a concert and they have a wide range of acts come through.
The location is a little odd, but there is plenty of parking around it, a lot of it free.

As someone who has been watching live music for 40+ years, I have to say that this place is just great. It's as good a venue as I've ever been in.
Honestly, I love everything about it. The black color scheme. The lofi, punk-inspired interior. The slightly grungy feel of the corner where it sits (even as Little Italy gentrifies like mad). The great music fans who patronize this place. The reasonable ticket prices. The small main room, which puts you just a few feet from the musicians. The tiny little patio, where I always find myself bumming a smoke and talking music with a friendly stranger. Most of all, I love the expertly-curated lineup of bands who appear here. I can pop in on any random night and know that I'm going to see something great. This is truly a place run by people who love music, and for people who love music.
In my book, this place is a local treasure -- up there with the Zoo and Sunset Cliffs. You can't really call yourself a San Diegan until you've come by.
This is a great music venue. It was better when I could get a giant can of pbr. Like I’m still gonna come but I think you should really consider bringing pbr back to the establishment.

Security needs some serious training. Extremely overly aggressive with patrons. Saw them get in the face of multiple patrons with little to no cause. Were very aggressive with a man that was trying to keep his girlfriend upright while others were shoving.
Will not return to this venue.
