Chewys Rugulach & Hamantashen

Not a retail bakery but the nice ladies in the office will run downstairs to get you some fresh rugula if you ask them. Delicious and unique.

Like a few others here, I am a native New Yorker with a love for authentic and delicious rugulach with proper and freash ingredients.Chewy's rugulach is the best there is here on the west coast.I pick up the chocolate rugulach at the cookie bar at Whole Foods Market in El Segundo, and you should too! Just the most delicious snack one could ask for. Love the raspberry (not usually a Raspberry fan of anything) and the apricot as well!

I grew up in NYC and have enjoyed rugulach since I was a child. I’ve had some very tasty bakery and homemade versions, but honestly nothing compares with Chewy’s. When they claim it’s the best you ever tasted they are 100% correct- it’s the best by far. It’s a unique style of rugulach, but from the thin and delicious cream cheese pastry to the dense, luscious fillings these rugulach are superior! Having one with a cup of coffee is one of my great joys in life.

I spend a lot of time at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood NJ. One day after I stopped by the cafe in the hospital and bought 2. I loved them so much, one time I paid for a cab round trip $50 and bought $50 worth of them. Hate to say ,"They didn't help my waistline! " but they were well worth every scent. Now I get excited to go to the hospital for anything, lab work, whatever.. Thank you Chewy's for my greatest love of all. Your Rugulach

Was car shopping at Miramar Sport Cars when I suddenly smelled the sweets filling up the area. The dealership highly recommended I check them out so I couldn't pass the offer of indulging in some sweets and buying a car all in one day ;) I've tried ruglach before but it was no where near how delicious and fresh these were. Hamantash (probably spelling that wrong) I've never tried before and I highly recommend you get them because they are out of this world.

I go on my daily walks around the area and always walk by Chewys. I figured it was a cookie shop with chocolate cookies and stuff. Finally one day I walked in to check it out. I never had Rugulach before so I can't really compare it to any other Rugulach's out there. It reminds me of a strudel, but more firm and has more texture. I tried a few flavors coffee, chocolate, Berries, and peach. All was good with coffee or tea. You don't have to go to Whole Foods to buy a box of these. Just head on over to the location in Mira Mar, not far from Ballast Point Brew and purchase them.
