Very disappointed! Ordered LG(9.95) wor wonton soup and it had 2 pea pods, 1 slice of carrot, 2 pieces of something that looked like celery, 2 small shrimp, 1 piece of chicken and 2 won tons..no pork and the rest was broth. It was pretty much all broth. My last 2 orders from here were not worth the money. What happened?? The food used to be really good. Won't order again.

Another strip mall review let down. Found this spot visiting the 7-Eleven in the parking lot. While on a weekend Vacation off of the Resort. Wanted a change from the resort food. I looked up so many yelp reviews, so by the time we made it to the 7-Eleven, everything was closed. So, It was one of those, random, the kids are hungry now type of picks and this place is still open. The establishment is practicing all Covid guidelines. There's a table blocking the entrance, where you are greeted and order taken there. Menus are printed on the door and on a pop up easel in the front. For me ordering at any Chinese food takeout is Dry. It's always quick. What do you want? Ready shortly! Can't give you to much on the inside, as you don't get to enter. I do like the fact that the rice and noodles are placed in the white Chinese boxes. Makes you feel like you're having a takeout party in a NY apt, crying over that horrible guy from the other night. I ordered two types of chow mein. One with shrimp the other just chow mein. Fried rice, orange chicken and walnut shrimp. This is just okay Chinese food. The kids actually complained about the noodles. They ate them. Not actually finishing anything on their plate. That's unusual for my kids. The lacked flavor! Not moist, very dry for a chow mein. The orange chicken had way to many orange peels. It's an over kill, hard to chew, and bad for taste. Orange peels are an unusual taste just to crunch on with every bite you take. Also too much work to pick them all out. The Honey walnut shrimp got soggy. Way to hot to place into those plastic containers. So it took away from the texture and flavor. Rice was the same as the noodles. It lacked flavor and soy sauce. This place would never make it on the East coast, as they love Chinese the way we love Latin food on the West. I would love to see what the Locals of San Diego think about this place and what they suggest to order. If I got all the wrong things, then I would say tell me what's their specialty. Prices were good! Actually more affordable than anything back home. But not the flavors you expect for Chinese. It was also late night when I ordered. Keep in mind I said early everything I searched on yelp was already closed. They were actually 39 mins away from closing time. So this could have played a vital role in what was left and the cooks temperature. Maybe everyone was ready to go home. The food taste that way!Always reviewed with love, but never to discourage. Try it out and if you have tell us what you get!

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. Sadly I have to give one in order to leave this review. We ordered some pork and lo mein which was disgusting. The food was dry and it tasted very bland plus old. We asked for a refund and they refused. We weren't offered any other alternatives, forced to leave empty handed. I don't recommend and I will be reporting this restaurant for sanitation violations as well.

China Ann Chinese Restaurant is a little hidden treasure located across the street from the sports arena. While in the area I was craving Chinese food. I noticed a Chinese Restaurant in a little strip mall next to a 7-11. So I decided to give them a try. After you arrive you welcomed with a nice smile and thank you. Within couple minutes I decided to order several dished. For starters I had the chicken pot stickers, and the hot and sour soup. For the main dish i had the cashew shrimp. Also China Ann Chinese Restaurant has lunch specials seven days a week. After one bite into the food I knew it was the real deal. For a person who is spoiled when it comes to eating any food. I have to say China Ann Chinese Restaurant was much better then I expected. After eating here at China Ann Chinese Restaurant several times the food has been solid every time. I'm a big fan of supporting local businesses and China Ann Chinese Restaurant one of them. You could not ask for a nicer family who owns this restaurant. The plus plenty of private lot parking.

I like this place. Just tried it for the first time today. The spicy Mongolian beef was tasty, and they offer brown rice as an alternative to white rice. The order for pick-up went very smoothly, from my phone call to the doorway pickup.Good to see a place that can do what's needed during these challenging times.

I'm an Uber eats delivery driver and this is one of the worst places to pick up! Be prepared to be ignored. It's happened several times and that's why I'm doing this review.

I have to give this place 5* because I know someone that works here. No choice! But anyway, I remember one time, at the old location, I tried to order 2 orders of chinese donuts. Lady yelled at me and said I wouldn't be able to eat both orders so NO! YOU ONLY GET ONE! Okay.

The beef and broccoli smelled like ammonia, like actual piss. I had to throw I out immediately.

I don't usually have hankerings for Chinese food, but was browsing DoorDash when China Ann caught my eye. The food arrived promptly and there was no spillage from the soups ordered -- an impressive feat, in my opinion. I tried the hot and sour soup (recommended as a popular item), the egg drop soup and the honey walnut shrimp. I was underwhelmed by the soups because they were so light in flavor, especially the hot and sour soup. The egg drop soup did grow on me as a more delicate broth, and I appreciated the included wonton chips. The honey walnut shrimp was pretty good, and I was grateful that they didn't include walnuts (felt bad ordering a dish without an ingredient in its name in it, but I'm peculiar about this kind of stuff). Overall felt that the food was standard; mighty order again if I'm really craving Chinese food, but will solely stick to the entrees/rice dishes instead of the soups.

We ordered delivery last night and my fiancée got the garlic chicken and broccoli combo........ it smelled like someone pee'd in it. He didn't even eat it and threw it right in the trash. NEVER AGAIN.
