Choi's was a genuinely great experience. All the dishes ordered were delicious. We ordered the bossam, chicken, and ahi tuna. We also ordered some appetizers. Everything was good. We had a few orders of cocktails. The chef came out and explained the dishes to us. My friend has some complimentary seaweed soup for her birthday and the chef explained the history of seaweed soup which was cool. I knew it was a traditional birthday dish in Korea but didn't know they history. The chef also explained every dishes to us as he came out with them and he took a shot of makgeolli with. He was going around every table, engaging in conversations, and taking shots. Honestly great experience. Can't wait to come back.
Had no expectations be it that this was our first time to Choi's. The menu a moderate size but very well balanced. We ended up sharing the Beef Wellington and crispy chicken with 3 appetizers and cocktails. The drinks were exceptional and the food was amazing. Both our main courses were really finely cooked and presented. Can't wait to go back to try new dishes. Highly recommended restaurant
The food was so good and yummy, from the octopus appetizer to the chicken and wellington entrees. The added birthday seaweed soup was a nice touch. Sad we couldn't make it to dessert because we were so full. The specialty drinks, they were so tasty as well, we had to try two each. The service was great, we were seated promptly and the staff were very attentive. The ambience was nice and the live band a plus. It was an overall excellent dining experience and we'll definitely be back again.
Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Amazing food and amazing ownership. They have created a real community here
Service and the concept of Korean fusion are good, but the execution is lackluster and underwhelming; overpriced for what they offer
Very cool place, great food and refined flavors. Everything tasted as it should, there weren't any surprises really. I wasn't hungry after finishing my meal. There was live jazz which was cool. There was just some small details that bugged me a bit but over all, a wonderful experience.
Great food, attentive service, cozy yet elegant atmosphere. I've came for formal and casual outings, I do recommend!
My girlfriend and I tried Choi's restaurant to celebrate her birthday on Thanksgiving Day. We have heard of this restaurant before on social media and decided to give it a try. Staff at the restaurant were very friendly and offered great customer service throughout the whole dinner. Our server answered any of our questions on the menu and explained the dishes and drinks. The octopus appetizer dish, Beef Willington, and crispy chicken were delicious. Definitely will be returning here to try more dishes.
It was good but not extraordinary and we were optimistic and hoping for extraordinary. I had the beef Wellington and it was just OK. It was however cooked perfectly to order! The red wine by the glass I ordered had clearly been open too long, it had that “stale” taste. We probably will not go back again.
As always good only thing was that the shrimp crudo could of used more acid to cook the shrimp because we had to mix it in the sauce since it tasted raw still but other than that a great meal.

A great dining experience. My husband and I loved the food and will definitely be back if we're back in San Diego.
Everything from the service to the food was top tier. This restaurant is so amazing, the Korean inspired dishes paired with western ideas bring an excellent fusion to every pallet. If you are looking for delicious and craveable food - this spot is it!

Excellent service, food, and cocktails in a beautifully decorated and relaxing environment.
Overall it was a good experience. The food was yummy but a little expensive for what it was. Some of the dishes were special others less… but the service was wonderful and it was a pleasant dining experience.
