Came here twice for lunch and dinner, waited for 30mins+ each time and didn’t get seated. Just wanna warn the waiting time is insane.

I've found most asian places in convoy to not be worth the hype, but this place is certainly an exception. The food here is very good and flavorful. It stands out from the many other korean restaurants in the area. Far and away our favorite place for sit-down korean food in San Diego.

One of the other reviews mentioned they got turned away at 8:15 even though the hours say they close at 9, stating that their last call is 8. Well that's a lie, we arrived at 7:30 and were still turned away for dinner. Can't say anything about the food cause we couldn't eat but hard to have an appetite to come back when this is how customers are treated. Some others mentioned potential racism and I'd be inclined to agree, idk where the cozey/homey atmosphere people mention is, certainly did not feel like that at all. Seems like other people have luck here for lunch so we'll maybe try that in the future and I'll update this review.

We got here at 7:40pm— even though their hours say they close at 9pm, they told us they are closed. Another review said that they were told the last call was 8pm and we were clearly at the restaurant before that so it seems really inconsistent. The food looks good, but please change your hours to be more accurate :)

This place was legit, standard Korean fare. The dishes we ordered, along with the banchan, all hit the mark.

Had agu jjim combo with kimchi jjigae, food was pretty nice. Agu jjim had lot more bean sprouts rather than fish, but that was expected, pretty much same in Korea, too. There were some namul in banchan and was good

during a short stay, a friend recommended this place and it was really good. Not able to find a place like this back home. I posted an image of a comparison and the presentation speaks for itself
So, we show up at 8:15 and they tell us they are closed. We look at the sign that says they are open until 9pm and she says, “Oh, last call is at 8pm and the kitchen is closed”. I’m half Korean but I don’t look it and I know if I was here with my Korean dad, we would have been seated. Not cool. If last is at 8pm then change your hours to be closed at 8pm.

Don’t trust these hours. They close when they want to. What a waste of time.

Koreans eat the spicy dogs. Americans eat the American (non-spicy) dogs.

I would be surprised if there were many people that have visited this establishment more than me. From the delicious food, homey atmosphere and exceptional value I keep returning month after month.

No frills dining but legit and delicious Korean food, gave the homemade cooked food vibes. Soon tofu jigae, kimchee chigae and sahmgaetang were fire.
