It used to be a good place for Korean foods.

We called ahead and ask if they can accommodate a party of 17 and they told us yes. When we arrived, they then told us they can’t accommodate us anymore when clearly the restaurant is has no customer inside. If you are the owner, I would definitely be ashamed because I am myself also own restaurant. if you can’t accommodate customer, don’t tell them that you can and then back out on your word when the customer shows up. I would never recommend this restaurant to anybody. It just shows that the owner doesn’t care. Take your money and your business somewhere else where they would appreciate it.

The kimchi stew here is delicious. The taste I had in Korea. The side dishes are a bit salty, but overall it's okay. suggestion
The kimchi stew is absolutely delicious. The side dishes are a bit salty, but overall, they’re pretty good. The service is average, but the food is so tasty that it’s worth it.

Over priced and salty. Had the large neck boned soup for two. Tasty but salty. Couldn’t finish. I give it two stars. The LA short rib over priced. $32 for few slices and the cut was chewy. 0 star. The spicy pork was yum yum. Four stars but over priced at $26.

Food was good for fast Korean food. Menu was limited. We got the bulgogi beef and pork bulgogi and it was both on the less seasoned side but edible. Also got the spicy beef soup and lots of veggies not any shredded beef at all with very little seasoning. Staff was sweet. No parking in the location.

I was really excited to try Chon Ju Jip since it looked like a promising hole-in-the-wall, traditional Korean restaurant that would offer me the flavors of my childhood. We got two of my favorite dishes: ddukgook (rice cake soup) and vegetable soon tofu. These two dishes are very simple and hard to get wrong, but the food was pretty lackluster, and the service was very strange. I wouldn’t come back here, especially if you want your Korean comfort food done right. I highly recommend Yuk Dae Jang for insane flavors and the best kimchi, and it’s just minutes away.

Overpriced and not worth my travelling, bits of meats in bimbibap overflowed with lettuce, soggy seafood pancake with tiny bits of seafood, no pork in soybean fermented super salty soup, The msg in the soup made my mum in law so thirsty. Not authentic korean food. Definitely had better ones than this. Disappointing.

I would come here more often if I were a college student
All of the food here was fantastic. My favorite was ironically the small side of kimchi stew that accompanied the seafood pancake. Bossam was cooked just right and, when wrapped with all of the ingredients, made for a perfect bite. The seafood soup was decent. We all left very full and satisfied.

I was very satisfied four times out of five. Today, the taste was different. It didn't taste good, so I didn't like the atmosphere. The fourth time, both the chef and the server were kind and the food was delicious. I want to give it five stars. Today, once, the same grilled hairtail had a strong fishy smell in my mouth, but I ate it because I felt it was a waste of money. I ordered grilled hairtail before, but it was so delicious that there was no fishy smell at all. The chef and the server were different, so I want to give them one point out of five. The taste was so different that I don't want to go there again. The friendliness of the servers was also different.

Im usually a fan of Chon Ju Jip, in fact it's one of my favorite korean spots in San Diego, but I recently tried the Bossam and the pork slices were mostly if not all fat. Why would you serve it? Bossam is one of my favorite dishes, but my.least favorite dish at Chon Ju Jip. as expensive as it is, it's not worth risking a 2nd chance. The other dishes like the LA Galbi is excellent though.

We love this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The food is delicious, especially the mushroom/onion/bulgogi. I love the quality and variety of bonchan available.
Ive been to a handful of Korean restaurants on convoy and this place is the only one I've seen spicy raw marinated crab on the menu - I can't wait to try it!
