Decent Japanese food. We ordered sushi - which all the rolls were just okay. Average. Also ordered udon there which was also very average. The wait staff were nice and friendly. This is a casual restaurant with TVs inside. Good for friends hangout or family dinners. There is a parking lot outside, but there are also many other restaurants in this plaza.

They don't have good customer service. There was 3 booth open and didn't let us set on one we ate there until we leave one of them was still empty. The food is okay but we won't be back!

Always a good place to come to when in this mall section. The dish that I got had good flavor and prices aren't too bad. Service is good too. I would come back.

Unassuming place with very yummy food. While their are slightly tastier places you have to wait very long to get a seat. Not here. Great food with little to no wait! Lots of food options as well.Parking: Very little parking in this area with many restaurants.Kid-friendliness: Friendly for kids.

Went here after a great fabulous Easter service at church with some friends. We sat down and had a great gossip session, this food is recommended to eat during a juicy gossip session because it's yummy but very cheap compared to the San Diego restaurant scene. I got the chicken teriyaki with spicy tuna bento combo and it was good. The spicy tuna roll could have been a bit better, it wasn't the freshest but would eat again! The teriyaki was cooked well but it doesn't have that "grilled" texture. I love Chopstix because it reminds me of actual homecooked Japanese food. We came on Sunday for lunch and it was only a few mins wait! Parking was very tough but you usually can find street parking at that time still.

Atmosphere and food was decent and roll was good but awful service they messed up the order but didn't even say sorry and after we complained a bit about the mess up they ask "everything okay" to every table except our table lol my friend is muslim so she can't eat pork. But they gave her pork in stead of the one she ordered It's like an assassination lol i won't come back to this restaurant. Was the worst service I had in sd so far

I got the chicken katsu curry rice and my sister got the chicken katsu bento box with the crunchy roll. We both enjoyed our dishes and were amazed by the portions and how extensive the menu was! We got lucky with parking and found parking right in front. We went for Saturday lunch and got seated right away. Friendly service and I would go back to try the other menu items!

I've always passed by but this was my first time trying. I had the chicken katsu bento box with a side of crunchy roll. It had good flavor and was a big portion. Service is good too. I would come back to try their extensive menu items :)

Service is always spectacular here. Very welcoming and family friendly with tons of Asian food options. Perfect lunch spot, usually has sports games playing on the TV.

Solid place tucked in a cramped plaza in the heart of Convoy street. My friend and I were greeted at the door and immediately sat down. It was a busy evening as expected of a Saturday dinner rush. The food was great and I wondered why I never went to eat here sooner. I ate a few times prior to try a couple dishes before I decided to write this. For the price you are getting a good value on their plate meal sets which often come with a light salad and the usual miso soup. The mapo tofu and curry combination plate is an interesting option that I have seen at other places. Usually I would have to go to two different restaurants to get each of the dishes but not here. Curry is solid and flavorful, nice chunks of beef in there to deepen the flavor of the roux. Can't even get this kind of flavor at Coco Ichibanya down the street. Mapo tofu is on the sweeter side of most mapo tofu but still a savory dish nonetheless. Service was a bit slow after the staff took our order but the dinner rush was in full swing by the time I finished. Last time had the chicken katsu with this combo plate and it was dry. I recommend the calamari (also pictured) or pork katsu for sure. Would definitely come back but keep in mind the plaza is very cramped and the back parking lot is often full and hard to get out once you squeeze in. Expect to come early before Convoy fill

I was quite disappointed with Tang Yang Chicken. The skin on the outside was weird and didn’t look like Tang Yang Chicken.Curry tastes pretty ordinary. It might be better if you cook it at home.
