I came to try there streets tacos. The meat 🥩 had a strange weird taste to it. 8 hours ago I was vomiting the meat 🥩. I regret Coming here. Never will I come here again.

It's just plain gross! No parking because its on the corner of a residential street. It smells soooo bad because they have the porter potties literally right BEHIND the grills they are cooking the food on !!!! 😳😵💫🤢 like whaaaat! Thats NASTY! I came by to the corner market and seen they're closed down AGAIN by HEALTH INSPECTOR. 3rd time this year and the year is not even over yet!
Dang at this point Chula Tacos needs to invest into an actual restaurant already just stop this nastiness.

Great tacos place! Saves you a trip to Tijuana. Try their famous Keka with one, two or three different kinds of meat. My favorite is a Vampiro with the crunchy tortilla, cheese and carne asada!

Tacos were good! The salsas had good flavor.
The atmosphere, that's a different story. They really need to power wash the floors, new benches and new table covers. Everything looks so worn down and the smell is pretty bad since theres a sewer grate at the corner where it's enclosed. It made me feel like I was in Tijuana. I respect the service and hustle, just need new seating and with a cleaner atmosphere especially when we paid over $55 for 3 people!

Just so you know, there is nothing wrong with this place, I just don't give out 5 stars easily. Food is amazing! Really delicious each time I have been there (been twice). Ordered different things and I wasn't disappointed. The staff is no nonsense. They know what they're doing and they are good at it. The atmosphere is relaxed. People don't mind sharing the tables when it's busy (think picnic benches at a park), friendly, just nice!

The tortillas taste homemade, the meats are seasoned perfectly, and their salsas give just the right kick without overpowering. The horrchata was 🔥 theres not many places that make it good and this one hit the spot.
The vibe is super laid back, with a fun, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to hang out and order a few more tacos than you planned. The portions are generous, the service is quick, and the staff is friendly and attentive.
I especially loved the Keka de Asada. (Didn't take a picture of that because we were starving and devoured it), and the tacos de asada. Definitely one of those places you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend if you’re in San Diego and looking for authentic tacos!

Friends came to town and did a self taco tour visiting over 10 “best taco shops” from tik tok and IG. Chula taco blew us away. I pass it every week and didn’t even know it was there. It will be my go to taco spot moving forward.
