Very relaxed atmosphere! Pleasant conversation and games with good people. I stayed for several hours my first time here and plan to be back often.

One of my favorite bars in the city! Great cigars, deals on drinks, and a vibe that’s always chill but never boring. Staff makes you feel at home every time. I even love bringing in my board games here it’s the perfect spot to relax, hang with friends, and just enjoy the night. Easily one of my favorite bars in the city.

I have a cigar bar now! Very comfortable place. Reminded me of a California version of the Hudson Club on Manhattan’s LWS. Very large & beautiful humidor. Probably the best conditioned cigar I’ve smoked. Service was phenomenal and the people there were great. I will definitely be back.

So honest review time. I have been touring every single cigar lounge in san diego for awhile now and this has been during multiple trips just to make sure there wasn't a fluke of a one time good service and the rest bad or anything of the sort so this is my personal review of the few times I've been.
There selection. I'll admit isn't wild and extreme as others, but also there prices on even well known brands are amazing. Finding hidden gems of cigars I've never heard of before is probably my fav thing about this place. EVERYONE is extremely knowledgeable they walk into the humidor with you and ask if you have any questions. If you dont they courteously leave you alone to make your selection, don't push you to pick something like a lot of other places but, if you do need help they are there every step of the way. Raul, probably the smartest guy there is as far as cigars go. He is a genius and the second you explain what you're looking for his encyclopedia of cigars open up and BOOM he knows what to get you BUT will never be pushy about it. if that's not what ur looking for or want he wont force it on you. Which is btw hard to find especially when they know you have zero experience. Raul doeant take advantage of that fact and just genuinely wants you to have a good time. Rocky that works there he is as chill as you can get. Gets what needs to be done and is bar none one of the best bar backs i have ever seen. He knows what he's doing and if you ever have the pleasure of having just a sheer minut with him that'll probably be the high light of the day just cause hes that cool to talk to , finally sara is a super chipper person with a contagious smile that AUTOMATICALLY makes you feel welcome. Also has great cigar recommendations so don't sleep on her recommendations for a second. Sara knows her stuff. She is one of the most hardworking people I know and is always on top of things. Is one of those people that knows how to read a room and Is just simply awesome.
They're probably is more people that work here and I apologize sincerely if I did not mention you. I probably just didn't show up during your shifts. Overall though the Cigar Cave is amazing whether you're just there to grab a beer or cigar and sometimes even both.
Overall 5/5 for staff and ambiance put of this world can't be beat
The only real negative is selection of cigars, while plentiful the variety isnt fully there nor do you know when something will be back in stock so if you see something you like you better get it at that moment cause it's not guaranteed.
So the variety is 3/5 but in my honest opinion the ambience and the staff completely make up for that alone
