Civico 1845 Reviews
The salads and vegan pastas are super delicious. Servers are friendly and helpful and even the kids had a great time. The only disappointment was the vegan tiramisu but the yummy chocolate gelato more than made up for it.
The restaurant is very Italian and the service staff knows what to do.
Beautiful outdoor dining in the middle of Little Italy San Diego.
We were visiting San Diego with our daughter who is vegan, and we were so happy to find so many options on the menu for her. It was hard to decide what to order because there are so many amazing dishes on the menu, so I ordered two things! They were both delicious. The bread and the warm pesto served with it was Divine!! Civico 1845 offers fantastic food and service, with a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the love of both the staff and regulars. The zucchini blossoms and calamari are must-tries, along with the burrito, pistachio pasta, and lasagna, although some may find the lasagna too citrusy compared to more traditional styles. The espresso martini and old fashioned cocktails are top-notch, and vegan options are available, praised for their great flavor. Portions are generous, and service is excellent, with helpful staff guiding customers on what to order. The restaurant provides indoor and outdoor seating options, and offers free hot bread and pesto, which is really good but initially very oily. While parking can be a challenge and the space is limited, the overall experience is memorable—especially when seated outside. All appetizers and pasta dishes have received outstanding reviews. The menu is on the smaller side, so diners with a bigger appetite might want to order an appetizer as well. Despite some downsides like limited space and bathrooms, Civico 1845 remains highly recommended for visitors to San Diego, offering incredible food and great service at reasonable prices. The staff’s friendliness and attention to detail, exemplified by servers like Lucas and Yasmin, make the experience even more special.
