Food was on par with sushi quality around the area and within southern California restaurants. I did not have steak so I cannot comment on the steak dishes. The sashimi was fresh. I ordered mostly sashimi (about 6 different ones) and 3-4 appetizer. They were all delicious and high quality. The server was available shortly after we were seated. However, the appetizers came out, I had to ask the host who walked by (and who was more attentive to the tables) to ask for placing more orders.

Celebrated my husband's bday on Saturday early dinner (4pm). Service was great, food and drinks were delicious, we enjoyed everything. They gave my husband a little birthday dessert after our dinner. So cute!

We came here for my friend's birthday and had a great experience from start to finish. We were seated right away with a reservation, and our waiter was super friendly and attentive. He gave spot-on drink recommendations based on what each of us liked, and the drinks were tasty—flavorful without being too strong. We shared three appetizers between the three of us, which was the perfect amount. The noods & dumplings are on the spicy side, FYI. The music was a great mix that added to the vibe, and the decor was really nice without feeling overdone. Overall, a solid spot—we'd definitely come back!

Fun vibe and Vegas like atmosphere. But, the food is very average and they use soju or shochu in their drinks. Anyway, we had fun but I wouldn't go out of my way to return anytime soon.

The food was average. The specialty roll we ordered had tempura that was cold and chewy. It didn't taste fresh at all. Music was really loud for a half full restaurant. The service mediocre. Really nothing special that would ever make me want go back.

This was a fun, young spot to celebrate a 20th bday! The space has fantastic graffiti, edgy lighting & a cool, high ceiling covered with flowers. The sushi was great - fresh & flavorful. The skirt steak app was insane & we had to order two sashimi apps because they were so delicious! Our server was attentive but not pushy. We would totally come back!

My husband and I had an awesome time here. Food, service and drinks were excellent and the energy in the place was loud (in a good way) and lively. The art everywhere was really cool and music playing was enjoyable. We had a blast and will absolutely come back the next time we're in the area.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Cloak + Petal! We got there a little early and they still happily sat us right away. Service was great, food was great, ambiance was great. Was loud(ish) but more of in a fun way, and never had trouble communicating. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Came here for my anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. Service and timing of when the food came out was perfect. Ambiance was nice and dark, music was so good and vibey. They celebrate birthdays here with a cake and a birthday song. I'm sure you'll just need to let the servers know what the occasion is.
The Shibuya roll is my favorite, along with their matcha creme brulee. Would go back for sure!!

The nightlife here is quite vivid and was a lovely accompaniment to what was nothing short of excellent sushi. The best sushi I've ever had, in fact. Would absolutely go again- preferably at an earlier dining time

10/10 Experience! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday because I’m a huge sushi lover and I absolutely loved it! It was perfect that they stay open until 11 PM since he gets off work late.
The atmosphere was super cool, the sushi, edamame, and potstickers were all delicious, and the cocktails were top-notch. Loved the music selection, and the sparkler shot for my birthday was such a fun touch!
