Service was friendly and perfectly attentive. Oxtail tacos were delicious. Husband's chilaquiles were good but too many chips. Went for lunch so easy to have a conversation. Maybe not the cleanest restaurant, but we were on the patio.
1st time at this restaurant and it was great. We had cocktails and coconut shrimp appetizer and both were great. We shared the smash burger and it was fantastic!
I took a friend for brunch on Sunday morning because I enjoyed my brunch there two weeks ago. This time the service was not nearly as good and the food was fair, even though I ordered the same item. There were no special menu offered to us. We did not get refills on water and the waiter didn't check back and we needed salt and pepper. Although I have had several positive experiences there, I do not plan to return for brunch. I'll try happy hour next time.
They are located in a really cool 2nd floor spot with an outdoor patio that overlooks the courtyard/food pavilion. They have lovely, large overhead combo light/heaters which make winter outdoor dining comfortable. Their food is very good, drink menu should be larger than it is with more variety and cocktails made with different liquor bases besides rum and mezcal primarily. Additionally, the beer menu is practically non-existent which is a turnoff for those avoiding hard liquor. However, they are overpriced.... Like most restaurants in Dego! Nearly everything on the menu exceeds $20, including appetizers. There aren't many “meals,” and those that they have are > $30 with the exception of the short rib pasta that we're not fans of the taste. We'll save this spot for something special. That list of saving for special occasions is getting longer and longer.
We absolutely loved Coco Maya! I tried the lobster Benedict and it was the best Benedict I've ever had. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was super friendly. We will definitely be visiting again!
Loved coming here! Food was amazing. Had the smash burger and the plantains with beef. Loved the vibe of the place, perfect for a fun brunch. Would definitely come back for some good food
I reserved a table for 3 one week prior and specified birthday celebration on a Sunday brunch. We were seated at the most unappealing corner with a small and wobbly table. Our server was great tho. We think she felt bad for where we were seated.
Had reservations for a Saturday brunch. I highly recommend making reservations.
Mediocre food. Decent service. Excellent vibe and location.
Not sure if will be back but the scenery was nice.

A male possibly Latino looking male at about 5 feet 8 weighing at about 200 lbs with a tattoo on his right forearm wearing a ball cap. that works at Coco Maya approached me on the street in a violent & threatening manner to engage in mortal combat with me in an unprovoked & uncalled for altercation. I went to speak with the mgr. Teressa about it, and she just yelled at me to leave or else she’ll call the cops condoning his unwarranted negative behavior. Even his coworker was yelling at him to stop and why do you want to fight him
over nothing. 😔

Service was rough, food was plain/without seasoning, and they served us a plate with a stated allergy item.
We had to wait at least another ten minutes to receive the food item without the allergen, so the rest of the table was already done with their food by that time. Server just did not seem to care after drinks were given and food was ordered, only to come back with the $200 check and for her hefty tip.
Restaurant is very vibey though!

The pork belly Benedict was amazing! I enjoyed the Holiday inspired cocktail, Santa got a Set. Unfortunately they were out of their festive Manhattan. However the substitute regular Manhattan was tasty.
This is my second time coming here! Always a good time on the weekend when there’s a DJ during brunch! We got a mimosa tree and enjoyed all of our food!
