Our waitress Isabelle, (who was a delight) informed us they launched a new menu, and let me tell you everything we had was off the charts delicious! We enjoyed the loaded tostones to start. For entrees, we devoured the skirt steak and short rib penne pasta. The steak included two sides, we chose the charred broccolini and lemon with candy pistachios, also Mac and cheese. Great dining experience!

RUDEST front desk person I’ve ever encountered. She said we can sit at the bar and asked us to head upstairs. We went upstairs to realize that there was no space at the bar. So we came back to ask her about it and she said it’s an open bar so if there aren’t seats, she can’t do much about it. We were like that’s okay but is there any chance you can put us down for a table. Mind you this was at 11a or something. This lady casually says in the most cold tone that she can for 5. I was confused at first but she basically meant there are no tables available until 5p. There’s absolutely no need to respond like that to a customer that’s asking a genuine question. Is everyone that comes here just supposed to know that your tables get booked 5-6 hours ahead? If this is the kind of people you’ve working your front desk, it’s just not a good look. Never going back even though the ambience looks great and I’ve heard good things about the place

I recently visited Coco Maya from out of state. I have to say the service and food I received was absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and even the Manager stopped by my table to say HI and make sure all my needs were met. I would highly recommend this place. I have been raving to all my friends about how great the food and service were. If I ever come back to San Diego I will definitely be eating here again.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here for a nice evening meal before I left back to the UK the next day. We booked a table in advance, got seated, ordered cocktails, starters and mains. Don’t get me wrong the food was really nice but when we came to order dessert we were told the kitchen had closed (it was around 9pm). Not only were we not offered a dessert we were not made aware the kitchen would be closing soon. I think this is so wrong for customers that are already seated and have already eaten food, I can understand it for new customers arriving but when you’re already seated eating a meal and already spent quite a lot of money, I would expect to be able to order a dessert especially when we had planned to have a 3 course meal. I have had many jobs in the hospitality industry so know this was not good customer service.

Service was absolutely terrible. Food took so long to come out, we asked for water about 5 whole times before receiving it a whole hour later. I asked for a box for my food and of course that didn’t come either and didn’t bother asking a second time

Everyone in here looks (an acts) like a stuck-up "influencer", including the servers, but fortunately the drinks are excellent, if woefully overpriced. However, the air of persistent snobbery was a bit much for us, so we moved on down the street to a more welcoming establishment.

I had great experience here the staff was excellent. I ordered the ceviche it was little lacking it could be more for price point less chips more fish. I had halibut for entree it was very good but had to add salt and pepper with lemon to give it flavor it was bland. But over all good meal and drinks. Are at the bar and bartenders we're on point! ??

With such good reviews, we expected this to be great. Sadly, we were disappointed. The food, while creative, did not please. The halibut was a bit dry and had no flavor whatsoever. A little seasoning would have gone a long way here. The poke didn't taste fresh. The pork belly was very dry, which is unusual for that cut, but the flavor of the tacos was ok. The best dish was the plantain “nachos.” It was unique and the plantains were beautifully cooked, but one good dish doesn't justify the bill for the evening. The service was fantastic, however. She was attentive without being intrusive.

I love the ambiance- young, energetic. Space is open and in the center of happening in Little Italy. Food plating very good- I had chicken tenders and waffle- adequate balance between sweet, salty, and spicy. Mimosas flight- creative choice of fruits juices( prickly pear, watermelon...). Check the sliming mirror in front of restroom :)

The location and style is the only nice thing about this place, services was awkward and unwelcoming. Drinks are overpriced but are strong.

The vibe is sooo good. We went there when it was crowded but didn’t spend too long getting seated. They have a variety of twists on the Benedict and their drinks are also really good. Dominique, our bartender was really good to us and made us feel accommodated even though the restaurant was at high capacity. Will def
