I’m really disappointed by my experience at this coffee shop. When we walked in, the place wasn’t busy at all, yet we were barely acknowledged. We stood there waiting while staff made eye contact and then turned away without greeting us or taking our order.
What made it worse was watching other customers — specifically white customers — come in after us and get helped right away. The difference in treatment was noticeable and uncomfortable. We felt ignored and unwelcome the entire time we were there.
As people of color, it’s hard not to question whether race played a role in how we were treated. No one should walk into a neighborhood coffee shop and feel like they don’t belong. Unfortunately, that’s exactly how this experience felt.
I hope management takes this seriously and works on creating a more inclusive and respectful environment for everyone. Until then, I can’t recommend this place.
Nothing better!

McKenna and the rest of the employees were so wonderful to me. They really know their coffees. I tried one of the Honduras coffees, it was spectacular! The notes really stand out, especially the citrus, floral aroma laced with a beautiful chocolatey finish. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I can't wait to go back to San Diego to visit my friends. I am definitely going to revisit this place!

Service deserves 100 stars. The best coffee I have ever experienced. A global cup with a local heart. From the moment you walk into this café, the aroma of freshly roasted beans wraps around you like a warm embrace; much like the embrace from the incredible owner, Chris. It’s not just another coffee stop—it’s an experience, a celebration of craftsmanship, and a testament to ethical sourcing done right. What makes this place truly special is its dedication to coffee that tells a story. They have always, since day 1, sourced beans directly from small-scale farmers in developing regions—producers whose skill, care, and labor are often overlooked in the global coffee market. Now, with in-house roasting, the café brings those origins to life in every cup. The result? Coffee that’s not only fresher and more flavorful than ever, but deeply connected to the hands that cultivated it. Each roast reveals remarkable depth: nutty, chocolatey tones in one cup, bright citrus and florals in another—balanced perfectly by expert roasting right on-site. You can even watch the process, hear the gentle hum of the roaster, and smell the beans transforming—an immersive, sensory delight. Beyond the taste, there’s heart here. By sourcing responsibly and roasting locally, this café isn’t just brewing coffee—it’s building bridges, supporting fair wages, and investing in the people behind every bean. Whether you’re a casual sipper or a true coffee connoisseur, this spot reminds you what coffee can and should be: global, ethical, and absolutely delicious.

Visited this shop on the last day of vacation, but wish we found it sooner!! Delicious lattes and their house made milk complimented it perfectly! Also, people working there were super friendly and kind. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Incredibly good coffee. Hot oat flat white really allowed the beans to shine. Hell yeah from a Seattle visitor.

Great staff, fantastic and not at all bitter iced coffee
Best Coffee Ever! I (mostly) always get the yogi (dirty chai + espresso) because it's perfectly delicious! And is super tasty with the house made cashew/macadamia milk. The baristas are always super friendly too and very talented at what they do! ✌️🩵☕️

Fantastic pour over and a really good breakfast burrito (chipotle aioli is great). The very tall barista from New York was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Certainly a cafe worth trying and returning to
Chris is the most genuine, friendly human in all of San Diego—he’s built such an amazing community out of this shop, and the coffee is somehow just as good (the secret ingredient is love and friendship). I love the natural pour overs that are always available!
