The food was delicious, which is unfortunate because the service was so bad we will never return. I was torn whether to rate it 2 or 3 stars, but I not only would not recommend this place to a friend, I would actually discourage them from going, so I went with 2.
The service was completely apathetic from start to finish. From walking in, to a 10+ minute wait just to have someone take our drink order, another 10+ minutes to receive drinks (and they forgot our water). To note we arrived over an hour before closing and it was not even remotely busy. It would not be accurate to say our waiter avoided eye contact, but it was so hard to get his attention I had to get up and ask the bartender for our check. We also had to ask for napkins and silverware. The food was great, but the front of house staff do not care if you are there or not. Go elsewhere.

The food is eclectic and well prepared and presented.
My only issue is the difficulty in finding parking and the cost of parking. But that's an issue caused by the City and out of the control for the restaurant.

The best wait staff we have experienced in over three years. Food is superb. Cocktails hit the vibes expected when reading their names.

This place is criminally underrated. And I mean crazily underrated. If society had any sense, this place would be packed out from open until close.
Every item I've ever had on this menu has been above and beyond in terms of deliciousness. It seems like every restaurant has their own taken on brussel sprouts, right? This is one of the few spots where you can legit crave those brussel sprouts because once you've had it, you know.
The service staff has always been so friendly, so great, and so accommodating. The drinks are on point, always. And - AND - this place is located next to some other bangers in Hillcrest (La Vecinidad, Hiro Nori Ramen).
Part of me wanted to gatekeep this place, honestly. If you read this review, and decide to go, congratulations on making a great decision.

The perfect bar to read a book solo with a glass of wine.
Everything our group of 6 got was amazing from drinks, appetizers, and dessert to Taylor's amazing and speedy service blew our minds 🤩😲🤤. The atmosphere was the actual tops!

I live out of town, and stumbled on this place one night on a work trip. Taylor (the red head) made the BEST half skinny half skinny margarita, and customized my order to suit my non-dairy needs. June also attended and even sought to create a custom sauce for my fries. Everything was so wonderful I came back the very next night. Come, enjoy and ask for Taylor!

Had brunch here with my partner and we were genuinely impressed, especially by the service, which was easily some of the best we have received anywhere in San Diego. Our waiter was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about creating a great experience. I ordered the hot chicken and waffle, which was solid and satisfying. While the food was good, it is the exceptional service that really stood out and would bring me back without hesitation. A great spot for a casual and feel-good brunch

My partner and I went to Common Stock for brunch last week and had such a great experience. The Bloody Mary and espresso martini were both so good, and the hot honey chicken sandwich was incredible.
I really wish I remembered our server’s name because he was absolutely wonderful, attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Such a great find in Hillcrest, super welcoming and LGBTQ-friendly. We’ll definitely be back!
Pros: Nice ambiance. Service was great and fast.
Cons: The wine selection was limited and very overpriced. Brussels sprouts were charred over burnt. Not to my liking. My broccoli was also charred. The steak was ok but comes with an overpowering spicy sauce on top. (Ask for it in the side.). The broccoli was burnt. They need to stop burning their food. Burnt food is just not appetizing. Take the flamethrower away from the chef!
You gotta' check out Common Stock in Hillcrest. They're famous for their fried chicken breast sandwiches, but they also have happy hour specials on Mondays and Tuesdays all day. It's a great chance to try their food. If you haven't been, you should definitely go. They've got a killer brunch menu on the weekends too!
I had some friends in town and we happened upon this amazing restaurant. I was caught by surprise at the absolutely delicious food we had and of course we loved the espresso martinis! Not only that, the service was phenomenal. The music and ambience gave us a night to remember. I have told anyone and everyone I know about this place. Can’t wait to have an excuse to go back again!!
