Unsettling experience at Compa. The barista avoided eye contact and didn’t speak at all when I asked about the type of coffee they use in their espresso. The owner/manager was unfriendly and gave the impression that he wanted me out of his shop. I have nothing unsettling about my appearance, so I’m lead to believe it could be my skin color. I was a huge fan of their sister coffee shop, Hawthorn Coffee, in North Park and was excited to let the employees here know, but this was disappointing.

Awesome homemade everything, personable friendly people, and reasonable prices for the excellent quality - the mythical trifecta exists, who knew it would be found in a Rancho Bernardo retail plaza.

My favorite coffee shop in San Diego. Salted maple lattes are divine. Staff is so friendly.

25 minutes for two drinks wait. Ingredients of those drinks are all eye measurements so consistency is zero. Just like accountability, just in front of us we witnessed barista pour regular milk into both of our drinks even though one of them was ordered with Oatmilk. When questioned barista, she said oat milk was used. How can One pitcher have two different milk types? Zero accountability
You will also smell like food because inside has virtually no exhaust hood. Other reviews is also correct about staff not using gloves when handling our sandwich

Popular spot. Nice setting. Be sure and try the Avocado toast. Best in the area.
Got the iced chai and biscut breakfast sandwich. Fast service. Plenty of parking. Had a closed kids area with fun toys my toddler enjoyed.

Tasty coffee and biscuits! A wonderful local coffee shop in Rancho Bernardo. I got the 9-5 breakfast sandwich. It is a biscuit with egg, cheese and crispy prosciutto. Delicious! One of my favorite things to get here. They have a great menu with lots of coffee options. Today we got the B-side and some drip coffee. Both were great! Love that they have indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff is also very friendly.

Love the people, the coffee, the food. Only thing is make sure you grab seating when you can. That’s just because there packed all the time.

I had a great experience at Compa Coffee Roasters! It’s such a cute spot, always buzzing with people in the best way. They offer plenty of flexible options on the menu, and the service was quick and efficient. A perfect place to grab a coffee, get some work done, or just enjoy the lively atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Good vibe here, nice to work at if the weather’s good. Not a ton of inside seating (and some of them don’t have backs to them). High quality drinks and food.

Loved our first time at Compa!
The honey cinnamon latte was the best one I have had in San Diego county so far. A perfect blend of delicious coffee with a not-too-sweet twist.
The dark moca was incredible, best moca flavour out there by far.
There are many tables and the interior is cute and homey. Service was friendly and prompt with our drinks coming out within five minutes of ordering. Excited to come back and try out the food offerings!
