We're locals to downtown and this location is a weekend go-to. The food is delicious - I'm vegan and love their options. Their weekend batistas do their job but we do not experience them as friendly or even inviting at the least. We almost seem to be an inconvenience. I'm not sure if that's a reflection of poor management? Idk, it's really only the food that keeps us coming back.
Vegetarian options: Excellent vegan options. I recommend the vegan breakfast burrito and sandwich!

I’ve been here about 20 times since they opened. The place did not look good today: filthy entry mat, dust all over the fixtures, crumbs all in the pasty display, patio and window bar tables were dirty.
The service was bad. Mr. Neck tattoo was grumpy. All staff seemed unhappy. Management appeared to be at a table looking at the books. No music or vibe.
Food was good.
This place won’t be here much longer.

I've been to a handful of coffee shops in this area. None are perfect, most have one or two redeeming qualities. Copa Vida doesn't. I'm baffled how this place has 4.5 stars. The espresso was terrible and sour, the scone was overly sweet and they didn't warm it up, the place was loud and sounded (and looked) like a restaurant kitchen, plates clattering, the place smelled a little like garbage. I really wanted to like it, but the longer I stayed, the harder it was. There are many other coffee shops nearby, no reason to go here.
I went here for a coffee and treat. They don’t have any sugar free syrup for a latte and the chocolate croissant that I bought for my husband is cold / hard because she didn’t tell me they don’t have any way of heating it up before I purchased. When I mentioned to not take the crossant anymore the staff member seemed like I was being dramatic. Please get a toaster for your bakery items.

Turkey Breakky was good, super soft bread and aioli was not overpowering! I ordered with avocado and the slices came out too thick and fell out it the sandwich. Wasted $3 :-(.
My husband ordered the bacon burrito and presentation was nice, but flavor was 4/5.
