Higher quality ingredients would help the food choices but that being said, they are already over priced.
Our last visit was the Fifth time in this calendar year. I Kept hoping it would get better. In my opinion, it did not.

I recently visited the Corner Bakery in Mission Valley, San Diego, and had a wonderful experience. The food was good and clean, making for a satisfying meal. The café itself was well-maintained, adding to the pleasant dining atmosphere. I would give it a solid 3 stars and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to grab a bite in the area.

The coffee wasn't very good and their bakery was a little dry by midday. They no longer had pancakes or butter to make more.

It was early afternoon and I was to meet my wife for a quick meal. She suggested Corner Bakery and she pre-ordered a half sandwich/half salad lunch for me. The cobb salad was good. The sandwich was a ham and swiss cheese parody. It was presented on a slender white bread roll with a single slice of thin cut ham and a single slice of deli swiss cheese. If there had not been some slices of tomato between the two pieces of bread I might have not known this was supposed to be "a sandwich." Pathetic. I went towards the ordering area where a large and ominous person was standing, overlooking the performances of the workers. Believing him to be the manager, I held the "sandwich" up and opened the bread to display the (lack of) contents to him at which time he walked away. That was really poor customer service and just plain rude. I'll NEVER go back there again and suggest my wife stay clear of this place as well.

The atmosphere is absolutely depressing, image not receiving an apology from the manager because they cannot get your order right and then giving you an attitude. For the record, I politely asked and was not even upset about it. Then they bring me a sloppy made correction with an attitude by the tall kid long hair at the register. They served sandwiches on tiny plates so be sure they don’t slip off. Definitely not coming back here, manager should be fired.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorite restaurant to go to for breakfast. When I used to work at downtown. But the food here was horrible. The egg was from a cartoon. We weren’t asked how we want our egg. They served it scrambled but we wanted the over easy. So disappointed with good.

Breakfast food was low quality for the cost and cold when it got to me. Coffee was pretty good. Croissant sandwich comes with 1.5, maybe 2 eggs, two strips of bacon, and 2 pieces of cold cheddar cheese. May as well go to McDonald's and get better food, faster and cheaper.

I haven't been to the Corner Bakery since they opened at that location. It was lunch time and it was kind of quiet. They have a decent menu with lots of different options. I end up ordering the half salad and half sandwich. I got the cob salad with blue cheese and the tuna sandwich. Both were really delicious. The cobb salad had lots of really delicious choices including avocado and all the other items you would expect in a Cobb salad. The tuna sandwich was fresh and the portion was large for a half sandwich. It also came with a side which I got fruit. All in all I really enjoyed my lunch and we'll head back. I also found the prices to be very reasonable for what I got.
